Implication of a Foreign Emotion

"So, that's decided, but what about now? Do we just continue along like nothing's really happened?" Hermes chimed in, making Drystan and Ruxandra turn back around.

"Well, yes. Not only is it the smartest move, but it's the safest too," said Drystan. "In the meantime, why don't you take as much rest as you can? You and Ms. Giselle have been quite busy managing the aftermath of that disastrous party."

Ruxandra catches his gaze. "Speaking of, don't suppose you've spoken to her as of late?" She's regarding Drystan but addressing him. "I rarely see both of you together these days." It's then that suspicion passes over Hermes.

"Haven't really had the chance," he said while keeping his tone blithe, but no reply came from them. "Why?" he prompted against his better judgment.

Ruxandra shrugs, looking away from Drystan purposefully before continuing, "Just seems like you have a few things to talk about."
