Sebastian Will Eat Us Alive

(A/N: I know my MC is dumb <3)

Nancy's instincts moved her away from the eerie voice. She turned around to look at David, standing in front of her.

She didn't say a word and kept staring at him, hoping the chip would activate something for her. She didn't need Samuel to protect herself. Hopefully.

"I said I drugged everyone's drinks, Nancy," David smirked. "Meaning?... Meaning everyone outside is dead asleep."

David walked a few steps closer, and Nancy walked a few steps back.

"Even those who don't drink alcohol?" Nancy asked.

"Who the hell misses out on alcohol in a club, Nancy? Get a grip!" David felt all the odds in his favor.

But was he sure? Because Samuel always avoided alcohol no matter what.

If everyone was dead asleep, Samuel should've started looking for Nancy by now. The odds were probably in her favor.

David kept on closing in, and Nancy kept on backing off, waiting for either Samuel or her system to click in.

{System has detected hostility towards the host.}

{Engaging defense mechanism.}

She quickly wondered if the defense mechanism would be something like high-tech mechs or some sort of covering over her. Or maybe she would suddenly learn how to fight the black-belt David equally.

She waited patiently for the system to give her further instructions. But her patience only closed the distance between them.

Before David could come closer, Nancy swung her leg at him, aiming for his face. He swiftly grabbed her leg and smirked at her.

"You're gonna fight me in heels?" David asked as he tightened his grip over her raised leg.

She tried to break free but in vain. So she took advantage of his tight grip and raised her other leg to kick his other side. But he quickly let her leg go, making her fall.

"Don't try, Nancy. You know you can't do it. We both know you can't." David muttered.

The same scene was recalled by both of them at the same time.

"So, only David and Nancy applied for the forms to participate in the tournaments this time. Shall we watch them spar then?" Their martial arts teacher, Ling Sifu, asked the two to come up front by gesturing with his hands.

The two obliged by standing in front of each other parallel to the rest of the club members and their Sifu.

Nancy was ranked a blue belt, while David was ranked a black belt.

They all knew the outcome. Not because David had a black belt, but because his agility was greater than all of them.

Even if they teamed up and tried to fight him, they'd end up with fractures. David's father was a martial arts Sifu, and he had trained his son till his death, which was a few years ago.

But David's strength, agility, leadership, and technique were beyond the reach of his clubmates.

He has won 8 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals till now.

That's why everyone knew the outcome.

But Nancy and David were friends and teammates. So, sparring was more of a training for the two than something about winning or losing.

They weren't too close but were considered good friends.

They both bowed to show respect to each other before getting into their respective forms.

David's form and technique was very unique. Even the Sifu couldn't catch up with it. But David never beat his Sifu because his technique was generic and mastered.

Nancy blew air out of her mouth before she analyzed David. He was going to let her start.

She started with her signature kick. She had the best kicks in the club, and she was proud of it.

But David could read through every one of her moves. He dodged them efficiently while she repeatedly threw kicks at him.

"Done?" David chuckled when she paused for a second in between her last kick.

"Not yet." Nancy chuckled before resorting to punches.

David didn't bother raising his limbs. He was just so agile that he didn't need his limbs for at least the intro performed by Nancy.

He was saving his limbs for later. Later when Nancy's blood is at the hottest temperature, and when she's angrier than ever.

Because of not using his limbs, it started to become harder to dodge Nancy.

He usually let her start first because she always needed to adapt to the other person first before fighting seriously. That was one of her drawbacks, and David knew that.

Her body was sluggish with those who would attack first.

After a minute of dodging blows from Nancy, David finally initiated on his side.

A punch coming her way, and Nancy quickly dodged it.

"Without a warning?!" She whined as she backed off to catch her breath.

David quickly turned to his offensive side and landed several punches her way.

Nancy dodged them efficiently but became sluggish to counterattack. David smiled. It was the end. Without Nancy being able to even move a single strand of hair from his head, the fight was reaching its climax.

David put all his strength and agility into this last punch… But he missed it by accident.

Nancy took the advantage and kicked his nape down. First hit!

She raised her leg one more time for another hit, but David counterattacked her by grabbing her leg and pushing her down on the ground.

"1, 2…" Ling Sifu announced. "3!"

[Present]

Nancy watched him as she fell on her left side, sitting on the ground and trying to get up.

He was going easy on her. There was no way she'd still be awake otherwise.

Neither Samuel nor the system was going to save her now. She regretted lying to Samuel. She regretted asking for 5 minutes.

David stood still and watched her get up. She stood up and looked straight into his eyes.

She walked a little to her left and tried to walk past him swiftly, only to be stopped by a few unfamiliar faces waiting at the end of the curtains at the entrance of the room.

"You thought you could leave that easily?" David chuckled eerily before turning around to look at her.

The three unfamiliar men stood at the entrance, and David stood behind her.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you working with Sebastian?" Nancy tried to divert their attention away.

"Does that matter?" David muttered as he smirked. "Get her, boys."

With that, the men standing behind her walked closer to her.

{Defense Mechanism completed: Initiating eternal regeneration on a cellular level.}

"What?" She muttered to her system before dodging a blow from one of the men.

Two of them went to either of her sides and tried to subjugate her. For such men, Nancy was of a tiny size. It was more than easy for them to get a hold of her.

She didn't understand what her system meant. She couldn't understand.

The two men grabbed her arms, and she couldn't bother resisting, knowing it was over.

Just then, the curtain flew over, and a familiar face appeared from within, being covered completely by the darkness of the room as the men around her blocked the light source. It was probably Samuel, Nancy thought in relief.

"Who… Is it?!" David asked as he alerted his men.

While the two held Nancy, David and the other guy stood in front of her vision to face the man alone.

"P-Professor?" David asked in shock. "Shit!" He muttered. "Don't step closer, or Nancy's dead."

Nancy wondered why David needed to threaten Samuel when he could just show off his fighting skills.

One of his men charged at Samuel.

"Stop!" David shouted at him before grabbing his arm. "You can't hurt him!"

Nancy narrowed her eyes… You can't do what, now?

"Sebastian will eat us alive!"
