Give and Take (pt. 2)

Bradley slipped back in surprise. Then he cracked into a series of laughter.

"Kill you?" Bradley scoffed. "I dare you to say that again."

Samuel shuddered. He panicked and said what he would've said without panicking anyway.

"I-"

"Know that!" Bradley's deep voice engulfed Samuel's shrieking voice. "Asking to be killed is the same as being disloyal. Why? Because you've vowed your life to me. Unless for me, you don't even deserve to die."

Give and take. This was not just a policy set up in a democratic world. Here, only the supreme power decided who could give and who could take, who could give what and take what, and vice versa.

Give and take. It was like a trade offer you wouldn't like to sign up for. You would get something you never wanted, but you would have to accept it according to the policy.
