Samuel laid his back on the bed after an hour-long conversation with Hertwig. He hadn't realized how other people had been suffering, too. A sudden thought lingered in his mind as the darkness in the room contrasted with the little light the lamp on the nightstand gave. He wondered why he hadn't tried to kill himself so far.

The thought drove him to think that no matter what Bradley did to him, he never ended up with any permanent injury let alone death. On the other side, it took only a single bullet for everyone else to die.

He suddenly wondered what made him special to that factor. Why couldn't he die? He put himself to a shallow, light sleep with these thoughts flooding inside his mind. His alarm clock rang a few hours later, and he opened his eyes as if he had never fallen asleep.
