Immortality

"Hold on," Marco muttered, clicking his mouse around to open an unknown mail. It had arrived a day after Mikhail's text, so this could be from him, too. 

Nancy and Hertwig were leaning on either side of the desk with one of their hands on the desk and the other on the arm of Marco's chair as they stared at the computer's screen. Amy and Petrenko were seated on the couch, waiting for any of the three to start reading the mail out loud. 

"It won't load," Marco said, clicking the refresh button over and over again. 

"Restart the browser," Hertwig suggested. 

"Restart your computer," Amy suggested politely. 

"Restart yourself too, for fuck's sake." Nancy annoyingly said, pushing his hand away from the cursor. The mail was blank. 

Nancy fixated her eyes on the blank mail to get instructions from the chip.

She kept her eyes as steady as possible,
