The visit

The sun's rays found their way into a certain dark room. The dark brown walls shone with a little yellow light.

Inside the large bed was Yue Ling's slim frail body,she had already kicked her covers off the bed and was sweating profusely,her eyebrows were knitted closely together.

Yue Ling had been having nightmares since her reincarnation, despite not being there, the fear from those memories lurked close by. She struggled to get up and was mumbling,"please don't leave."

She got up and sighed deeply,how would she get stronger if she was afraid before it all began. She anticipated and feared the day they'll cross paths again.

Yue Ling checked her phone and saw it was still 4:00am in the morning,she also saw a message from her cousin Ye Bingbing saying she would come by at 8:00am.

Yue Ling went to the bathroom and soaked for a while while thinking of her life. She got dressed and went downstairs where she was met with Aunt Xu setting the breakfast table. Aunt Xu greeted her young miss but was still surprised since Yue Ling woke up a little later,it was usually Yi Shuyan who got up early.

Yi Shuyan came soon after and was greeted by her daughter,she had mentally prepared herself for more changes from Yue Ling.

"Mom, later Bingbing is coming by to visit me,"she spoke.

"I'm glad you are getting along,she's a good kid,"Yi Shuyan replied.

"She responded with a yes," Yue Ling knew better how good a person her cousin was.

Yi Bingbing arrived Orchid Street a few minutes early and was welcomed by Aunt Xu, Yi Shuyan received her and began chatting a bit with her about her brother's family. Bingbing was a stubborn lady but with this aunt specifically,she was a little extra reserved. Yi Shuyan was indeed a strict woman.

Yue Ling arrived the room shortly after as she was preparing gifts for the visit to her grandfather's,she intended to go with her cousin.

Yi Bingbing hugged her cousin and was glad that she was doing fine. Bingbing also wondered what made Yue Ling invite her, her cousin usually ignored or avoided her. She was happy regardless as they could become closer like when they were kids. During her childhood when Yue Ling visited her home, she would follow her around as an older sister. Yue Ling wasn't talkative but you would feel her concern, that was the one different thing that stood out to Bingbing today.

The two young ladies left for their grandfather's place, Elder Yi mainly lived at the Yi family mansion that was located at Green Hill district, this was a developed area with a few families. It had high standards and retained natural vegetation despite the mordern developments.

Elder Yi was a former military doctor before he took over the family owned hospital. The Yi family lived here for decades owing to their activeness in traditional Chinese medicine, they also used the English medicine and mordern medical technology. Their hospitals was one of the best due to these reasons. Elder Yi had opened several branches in and out of the country but lacked a successor. He and his late wife had three children,two males and a female who is Yue Ling's mother. None of his children studied medicine and had other interests.

It was only until five years ago when he realized Yue Ling's abilities,she was more than enough for their family heritage.

This was one of the main reasons he was glad Yue Ling came back.

The elder personally welcomed his granddaughters because he hardly met them, Bingbing would come at times but Yue Ling had not been around in five years. The two were the only girls in the family and he was also greatly fond of each of them.

Yue Ling had changed in loos and her temperament. Before she gave of a nonchalant vibe but now it was laced with maturity and understanding. He didn't dwell on it but as an elder,he wondered what she had been through. Yue Ling resembled her mother alot , she was certainly the most decisive of all his children, she left and till now her pride didn't allow her to meet him.

Lunch was livelier at the mansion with his granddaughters around but sadly they still had to leave. He called Yue Ling and they had a conversation before she left.

When they left, he checked the gifts they brought him and focused on the bottle that had blue pills. When he opened it,the smell relaxed his chest muscles greatly. He let out a deep sigh of relief and was certain about his decision.

Yue Ling wanted to find a house and asked Bingbing to help her find one. Bingbing was in the real estate business with her mother.

Bingbing was very happy to help and the two broke off along the way to their homes.

Yue Ling needed to start her plans soon so she didn't want to continue living in her mom's home.

Yue Ling had dinner alone since her mother wasn't around. She went to the basement and found it prepared according to the instructions she gave Aunt Xu in the morning before going.

Yue Ling used the basement as her lab for minor experiments, she wanted to make perfumes this time.

She smelled the herbs and flowers and started mixing. Not too long after she was done and it suited her taste. This product wasn't too strong and didn't permeate the air. Instead if you were next to a person who had used it, it was pleasant and soothing. Something that didn't stand out too much simply unique.

She was satisfied with it so she noted down the formula and put in a glass bottle.

Yue Ling picked her phone and texted someone.

She kept incense in her drawer luckily it came in handy since she had nightmares.

Her sleep was peaceful and she noticed that she had a fixed waking up time now.
