Ray thought of a plan and smiled wickedly

Ray planned to lock Mara in a dark room to scare her because Mara hates darkness.

Mara was in the class when her phone rang

Yobuseyo Mara asked

I have some information for you concerning ray said the unknown.

Where should i meet you asked Mara

AT the janitors room and come alone he hung up

What a good plan Mara its time for payback ray laughed.

Wow good i will have something to prank that rascal Mara smiled.

Mara went to the jailors room and entered the room.

Hello.....anyone here asked Mara

The door was closed and Mara was left inside the dark.

Pls someone open the door am scared of the dark said Mara.

Mara started crying because the darkness reminded her of her parents death that night when her parents was killed right before her in the darkness.

That's why she became a fighter to protect my sister and myself because i regretted not protecting my parents.

Mara fainted in the janitors room

Why cant i hear her voice again let me check said Ray.

Ray entered and saw Mara on the floor.

Mara wake up said Ray

She did not wake up, Ray was shaking coz he did not expect this to happen.

Mara please wake up i was just playing a prank said Ray.

Oh my gosh what have i done i need to take her to the hospital he quickly carried her to the hospital.

💞Ray's POV💞

I rushed into the janitors room and found her lying unconscious and her face was a little blue.

My fears heightened at that point. I might not like her that much, but I don't want her to die.

I quickly rush her to the sickbay and she was attended to by the nurse.

The nurse confirm that she is going to be ok and she needs to get some rest.

I signed in relief 😌. Thank goodness ✨✨!

💞Mara's POV💞

I opened my eyes slowly and saw only white.

Where was I? The last I remember before going unconscious was trying to get out of the room only to fall down and losing conscious.

I looked around and sighted Ray sitting close by. I sighed. I should have known that he would be responsible. Who else could have planned something like that?

"Oh you're awake!" He exclaimed upon seeing me. I rolled my eyes.

"As if you care!" I said.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Well Ray, I wouldn't be in this situation if not for you 🙁."

"You started it!" He fired back. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Oh please, what happened to you wasn't even half as scary as I had planned for you. You should thank Anna for persuading me... Besides you deserve it. Do you know how long it'll take me to write those notes which you thought funny to dump in the fountain, plus you ruined my copy of Best friend shouldn't know how you taste!"

"So we're equal then. I ruined your book, you ruined my reputation and that's the end of that."

I glared at him. "We ARE and CAN never be equal, you dipshit... Why are you even here? You know you don't care."

He signed. "That's what you think... And for the record, I do care. After all, I did save your life." He said before turning and walking away leaving me stunned.

Over the days that followed, there were no confrontations between Ray and I and to say the truth, I was unsettled.

Half the time whenever we met, I half expected him to make a sneaky comment and stuff a pie in my face but nothing of sort happened. Everything was just quiet.

I still found it hard to believe that Ray actually saved me. Most times, I thought it was a lie but it wasn't.

The surprising part was that he didn't even release the video of me in the janitors room which I was sure would be embarrassing 🙈.

But if I'd thought that was surprising, Ray took it to the next level when he finally spoke to me nearly a week after the incident.

Clara was actually crying when she heard what happened to me. It took a while before she was able to calm down.

I stood in line to receive my serving of the school's lunch along with Anna after which we both walked to our table.

It was while we were eating that Ray approached us and said words that I would have never expected from him.

"Hey Mara!" He said cutting short my conversation with Anna. I groaned angrily.

"Sorry I cut your conversation with your friend."

That line immediately got me. Ray apologising? Okay what's going on?

"So Mara, I need to talk to you... Privately."

I eyed him suspiciously. "Not a chance bozo. Say what you want in front of Anna.

We've got no secret right Anna?" I said turning to Anna only to see her already halfway across the cafeteria.

Ray chuckled.

"Laugh and lose your teeth." I said and he stopped. "So what do you want?"

"Well I just wanted to say I'm sorry for all the pranks and insults. I'm basically sorry for everything." He replied rubbing his hair.

My jaw dropped at that moment 😥. Ray apologising?

"Wait! You're joking right?" I asked.

He nodded otherwise. "No Mara. I'm serious... There's something else... I would very much like it if we could be friends 👫."
