Chapter Two
8:30 a.m.
I was sitting again on my throne watching over people's movements and activities on the busy street of Shibuya crossing in Tokyo, Japan. A street full of diverse people.
I turned mg left index finger towards the right to change the projection, but it only led me to the man reading on his laptop about Biology 2e.
Seriously this is the sixth time that his freaking face is projected on the mirror. Because of his repeating appearances in the projection I decided to keep observing what he's doing. It seems that he's in the middle of something serious, so I kept observing.

>Kindly introduce yourself class. Your name, age and at least two hobbies.
I began practicing in my head for the things that I'll say later.

I found out that he's in the middle of a class introduction and based on his serious expression he's practicing inside his head. Although I'm seeing people from the mirror, I can't hear their voices or any sounds through it so I just keep on observing them.
⸀I felt something interesting about him.⸥
>Ayiieee. Seems like you're stalking someone with interest.
I looked at my right side and saw Anna looking at the same person in the mirror.
"Why aren't you studying?"
>Our professor is not present.
She respectfully replied.
"Is that so?"
>By the way Miss Black. Who's that in the mirror's projection?
"Oh, no one. Just observing another mortal."
>Hmmm? Okay, you said so.
She replied with disbelief.
"I'm telling you that he's just one of the random people that I'm observing every day."
I said in a slightly irritated tone.
"You know what? Just go and read your modules."
>Modules again?
"If you want you can go shopping with Rhea."
>Really Miss Black?!
Her face and mood began to brighten up once she heard what I just said.
>No backing down from your words Miss Black. I won't bother you anymore with your crush.
With a big smile on her face she left the throne room and closed the door.
(sigh) "Kids."
I returned to observing and suddenly realized…
…did I just got annoyed by her?

{Anna closed the door of the room that leads to the castle ang walked down the stairs towards the living room. Rhea is currently sitting on the long sofa that's facing the flat screen television and is watching her favorite KDrama series.
When Anna got down the stairs, she directly goes to Rhea ang sat on her left side with a smile.
>What's with the expression Anna?
>Miss Black gave us permission to go shopping today.
Rhea looked at Anna and stare at her with and expression of disbelief.
>I'm telling you it's true! And there's something odd about her(Miss Black) today.
>She's always odd, Anna.
>This time she's observing a guy.
>She's observing anyone Anna.
Anna leaned closer to Rhea.
>With in-te-rest.
Rhea turned her attention towards Anna and turned off the TV. She put the remote control on the coffee table to listen to her sister.
>Earlier in the throne room I saw her staring at the person being shown in the projection of the floating mirror.
>She's always like that when observing someone to learn about them and how they express their emotions.
Rhea explained.
>I'm telling you this is different.
Anna persistently said.
>Normally the mirror projects a random person. Seeing someone again from the mirror is quite impossible. There are 7.8 billion people on this planet. It's like finding the 0.00000001301% of the total population.

>Woah, woah, woah chill out Anna.
David: WOW MATH! (I'm not very good in math so if there are miscalculations please let me know.)
>I know that you're smart but please Anna. You're making my head hurt just imagining the numbers.
>It's your fault for not believing me.
Just as that time, Mang Ronald walks down the stairs.
>Right tay?
(Tay or Tatay is another Filipino term used for Dad/Father)
>What is it this time?
>The projection that Miss Black's floating mirror give is random right?
>Why? Did something happen?
>Lah, you also didn't notice it?
After quite some time the front door opened and Aiza entered.
>What a night! There's a non-stop arrival of patients overnight.
She removed her shoes and then sat on the right side of Rhea.
>Don't come near me I have COVID.
She jokingly said.
>Ate Aiza, Miss Black gave us permission to go shopping today. (Anna)
(Ate is a Filipino term used in addressing an elder sister or someone who's still not married.)
>I'll just take a nap for 20 minutes.
Anna thought of asking Aiza about the floating mirror if she noticed something different about it but she realized that their(Rhea and Anna) older sister rarely visit the throne room.}

I'm still continuing my observation towards this interesting man. I also found out his name and it's Matthew Carter. He's not handsome nor ugly. He's your average looking type of guy.
I just can't seem to tell what's so interesting about him.
I continued to watch him with great interest and didn't noticed that two hours have already passed. Even though I can't hear what he's saying, my attention is fully captivated by him. I watched every move that he's doing but not to the extent of following him to the comfort room.
I know you're thinking that I'm a type of stalker. This is observing. OBSERVING.
There are times where he's directly looking at me like he knows that someone is watching him. After thirty more minutes he turned off his laptop and closed its screen. He did some stretching after a long time of just sitting there seeing his teacher's big face in the screen. After his stretching he again stared at my direction for ten seconds. After staring towards me he left the room and the projection ends there.
I thought of walking around the castle and later on take a bath. The sound of the heels of the shoes that I'm wearing echoed as I walk on the large empty hallway as I walk towards the bathroom.
I soaked my body in a large tub with red lotus flowers floating over the bubbly water.
After taking a bath and changing clothes I went out of the palace towards the house where Mang Ronald's family is staying.
'They're still not here.' I said in a soft voice while walking down the stairs and looking around.
The house is filled with silence when they're not here.
I sat on the long sofa and saw the remote control above the coffee table. Right, I still don't know how to use the remote to turn on the television. Whenever I wanted to watch, Rhea, Anna, Aiza and sometimes Mang Ronald turn it on for me and assist me when choosing a film to watch.
"How does this thing(remote control) turn on that thing(TV)?" I asked myself in a weak voice while turning the remote upside down using my palms.
"There's something that they push here to open the tv eh. I must find it."

{Mang Ronald's three daughters are inside the Supermarket(SM) buying clothes that catches their eyes.
While choosing for a dress to buy, Anna saw a glimpse of a Black Elegant Formal Dress. She immediately ran towards the dress and took it before someone else come for it. She walked towards Rhea and Aiza to show the dress she found who're currently sitting on the waiting area near the cashiers.
>Ate, ate!
She excitedly called out as she approached them.
>What's with the excited attitude? (Aiza)
>I found something.
>What is it? (Rhea)
She showed them the dress that she saw and took earlier in which she's planning to give to Miss Black.
>Charan! Do you think Miss Black will accept this as a gift?
She asked them nervously.
>If it's as dress and it's black.
>Then it's definitely good for Miss Black.
The three of them laughed because of the rhyming sentences that Aiza and Rhea said.
>I'll just go to the cashier and pay for this then. Be right back.
After saying this, Anna did so go to the cashier to pay for the dress.
After buying all of their respective items, the three returned to the white Honda CR-V that their father is driving. When they opened the doors Mang Ronald was shocked because of the things that they're carrying.
>Goodness! It looks like you've bought the entire store.
>Of course, tay. Miss Black rarely give us permission to go shopping eh. Plus, we didn't used much of the money that she's giving us. (Rhea)
>'She's like a strict auntie.'
Anna whispered.
>Why are you whispering? (Aiza)
>You remembered right? Miss black has an ability to teleport. Who knows, maybe she'll suddenly teleport behind you? (Anna)
>Oh siya, get inside the car so that we can go home and arrange all the things that you've bought. (Mang Ronald)
When they entered the car and closed the door, Anna bring out her phone and started texting Miss Black.
Left front(Driver's) seat: Mang Ronald
Right front seat: Rhea
Left back seat: Aiza
Right back seat: Anna
It is raining heavily that time when their car exited the parking lot of the Supermarket because of the low pressure are (LPA) nearing the country. The roads are slippery wet and it's almost zero visibility because of the heavy rain.
While on the way the three daughters fell asleep because of their tiring quest of searching clothes. On the other hand, Mang Ronald's driving is just slow and stable to avoid getting into an accident. He stopped the car on the intersection because of the red light on the traffic light. He looked at his watch to see what time it is and sa that it is already passed 3 in the afternoon.
There's still thirty seconds before the traffic light hit green and while waiting, he thought about his retirement.
>I need to look for someone to replace me as a caretaker as soon as possible. Someone who's trustworthy.
The light hit green and the car began advancing.
Just as it's about to pass the intersection safely, the white Honda CR-V was struck by an over-speeding red trailer truck.}

I still can't figure out how to use the remote control, so I just returned it to its original place and walked towards the window.
"I'll just wait for Mang Ronald and the others to come back."
It's raining heavily this afternoon. I wonder what Rhea will cook tonight. Whatever it is, I'm sure that it will taste wonderful.

{Sirens from the ambulance and police cars can be heard in the area together with the sound of the pouring rain dropping on the road and puddles.
The rescuers that time were attempting to lift up the trailer truck because half o the Honda CR-V went under the truck. Blood and gas begin to mix on the puddle of water.
Anna, lifeless and covered in blood is still hugging the paper bag containing the black dress that she was supposed to give Miss Black once they return.}

There I was, waiting for their return, thinking that maybe they're just caught in a traffic.
My phone began to float towards my left hand and when I turned it on, I saw a text message from Anna.
[Miss B, we have a surprise for you. This will surely look good when you wear it on your date once you found your one true love. See you later.]
She ended the message with an emoji with a bright smile.
"They'll be back."
