Chapter Fifteen

After saying her night prayer, she lay on the well dressed soft bed. Though she was tired, she wasn't feeling dizzy at all. Her mind drifted to different things: what her family were doing, were they thinking of her and certain that she was safe?, if her room in the school has already been sold to someone else, how she will have to live with Iyke without the unwanted happening.... the thought of it suddenly reminded her of something, and with a swift jump out of the bed, she ran to door to lock it.

She locked her room with the key and shut all the windows but she still wasn't satisfied.

She couldn't trust that nothing will incidentally happen between them. She knew she might be thinking wrongly but it didn't stop her from being vigilant. Since it was his house, Kendra suspected Iyke has spare keys to her room and might use it when she is asleep.

She decided not to sleep before him and to also keep some tools from the bathroom close to her for defence.
