Chapter Nineteen

Iyke chuckled slightly at her response. She felt like he could see through her. Like he could see how scared she was asking him the question and how bad she was at hiding her fears. His reaction made her feel intimidated.

He walked away from her and moved to the drawer. Kendra wondered why he was so calm about everything. She expected him to warn her or threaten to maybe hurt or ditch her forever. He took one of the papers and gave it to Kendra.

"This will answer your questions." He said less calm than before and a little serious.

She collected the paper, unsure of whether to read it or not, but ended up reading it.

"Impotent... You are impotent? Why then did you marry me?" She couldn't believe what she just read. and at the same time, It made no sense to her.

"Would you have preferred to have kids for me?" Iyke asked nonchalantly.

"So that was why you chose to marry me? You knew no woman will want you." Kendra started with a little shaky voice.
