Flashback 2.6

Are we going to be okay? I slowly walked beside him before turning to him unsure of what to say. We walked for a few blocks still holding hands and once we neared the school I slowly let go of it. He didn’t say anything as we walked past the front entrance and made our way to our first class of the day. I sat at my seat and he walked over to talk with his friends. It was like he wanted to play off that we were well and it feels like we are just keeping a distance now.

“Woah, what happened to your face?” I turned to see Caesar walking over to me.

“Nothing. I just fell after I got home.” I said, putting a hand over my cheek. “It's just a little red so it’ll be gone soon.”

“Yeah? You should really be careful.” He said as he looked at me closely.

I glanced over at Chris, who was watching us, and I turned to Caesar. “I know. That’s why I don’t play any sport. I’ll probably fall on my butt or worse.” I said, trying to smile.
