After she left to work, my day felt like it was going slow like I couldn’t let my mind process through the day and I kept my distance from my friends again even when I tried not to push them away. Elliot joined us for lunch meeting Brian and Fernando, which it took a while for them to get to know each other, and they were still bringing up the hangout on Friday. I almost forgot about it until Thursday came and in P.E I was walking around the track field with Luis while everyone else was playing at the basketball court.
“So, I’ll be seeing you tomorrow at the hangout?” I asked him.
“Maybe. I’m still debating about it,” he answered and wrapped his arms around my shoulders trying to pull me closer. “So, what’s been going on with you? You’ve been having this long-face look like you’ve been upset.”
“What?”
“Well, this might be our last game because it’s already past five and I can’t really be out too late,” I said as I moved to take a seat.
