Chapter Twenty-One: Mother Dearest

The room remained the same way; the wretched yellow curtain was still pulled back against the bed, its white, plastic rings and poles glistening as a nurse finished up sanitizing the area. Much like the early hours of the day, the room's electronic lights were switched off, allowing sunlight to stream into the room.
