Montero's POV

"What did you do for a living?" Enzo asked.

"I'm afraid I can't answer that," I replied.

"Did you kill people who disobeyed you?" Eawa spoke up spoke up. It was the first time she had spoken after she ran out of our bedroom.

With this, I looked at Kalani who looked at me with a blank face. She didn't know what to say, nor how to respond. Heck, I didn't know what to say. This was harder than I thought it would be.

"I...um-" I started.

"Nevermind." She shook her head. "Of course you did." She muttered, looking away while playing with her hands.

"Eawa honey," I started.

"It's ok dad. I just...I'm trying to process this but I just... I can't seem to grasp it all in." Her voice was cracking and tears started falling down her cheeks. She then just buried herself in Ramsay who held on to dear life to her.

Eawa was still my baby girl. The little miracle I wasn't expecting. And I loved her with all I had, and seeing her like this was heartbreaking.
