Montero's POV
Driving to rescue my daughter was harder than it looked. I don't know whether it was because Kalani was here, and that I believed her trance, or it because I let the boys go alone, but either way, it was nerve-wrecking. We were travelling with Seven and Jacobson, Johnathan and Eva were on the other car.
"Do you think that are okay?" Kalani asked.
"Off course they are." I answered.
"Yes but, - "
"They are fine. I promise." I assured her. Truthfully, I didn't believe it. I just said it, hoping my own words could convince me that my kids were okay. I mean, I don't even think they would be able to kill a man, even when faced with death. And this was rather a very big gamble. A gamble that was a 60/40 chance of survival chance. 60% being a chance of loss.
"They are going to be okay." Kalani whispered, holding my hand, pulling me back to reality.
"You think so?" I looked at her, trying to smile.
