"Lia listen to me!" I hear Henry's voice. He probably heard my screaming after I left but I can't respond. It hurts so bad.

He touches me and I scream in pure torture. It felt like he burned me. He pulls back his hand and I can feel his sadness, watching his queen in pain. "Try and stay calm! Fuck what's going on?!"

Suddenly my eyes shoot open. I feel my bones cracking and snapping back into place with such intensity that every fiber of my being is on fire. I scream and collapse once again.

"Hello Amelia" an elegant voice booms in my head. 

Everything goes dark.

We all stare at Henry in shock as he looks anywhere but at this thing with a grim expression on his face. 


This vampire is Henry's mate and by the looks of it, he doesn't exactly like where this is going. I release my grip on her neck and she falls to the ground, coughing and wheezing as she tries to catch her breath and soothe her aching throat. Everyone is deathly silent, waiting for someone else, anyone else to make a move. 


Minutes pass without a single word being spoken and all the while I can see the internal battle raging in Henry's eyes. He closes them and takes a deep breath before sighing and walking towards us with a confident stride although his demeanor is stiff and cold. "What is your name?" 


The vampire looks up at him with something resembling hope in her eyes, "Julia, Julia Marino." he nods at her and turns to me. I realize what he's about to do and my eyes go wide but he says the words before I can stop him.
