SIENNA'S POV:
I entered the building with shy and wobbly footsteps. I went towards the receptionist who was by the way busy typing on her laptop.
"Excuse me, I'm Sien- "Oh Ms. Davis, you have come to interview for the secretary position. Please go to the 70th floor." Saying this she went back to her own work not giving me a second glance.
Rude!
I quickly entered the lift with a whole lot of people trying to fit in.
I took in a deep breath and moved out of the elevator. I met another women on a desk. She smiled warmly at me.
" Sir is waiting for you." I nodded my head and knocked on the door.
"Come in." came a curt reply.
I opened the door timidly. I poked my head first and I was shocked.
This frickin' room is bigger than my house.
And then when I looked at the right corner of the room my eyes bulged out.
Am I in heaven?
A handsome man with a powerful aura surrounding him, face in his work, forehead wrinkled sitting in middle of files.
This blue and white combined office bigger than my house does not have half of the worth of this man sitting there. His sharp jaws, his hair darker than darkness, his hands typing furiously on the laptop.
Slowly, he looked up at me and then I gasped looking at his eyes. His right sea blue eye deeper than the oceans while his left green eye as more poisonous than the venom caused my breath hitch in my throat.
My widened eyes looking at the unique colour of his eyes. He took in my form. Realizing that I was ogling at my maybe or maybe not boss shamelessly, I looked down. Now, too embarrassed to look at his eyes. I lowered my eyes obvious to the fact that he was looking at me. My face going red as the seconds which were by the way hours for me ticked by.
"Okay Miss Tomato, can we do the work for which you have come?" he said now impatient.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Sir, I am Sienna Davis. I assure that I will do my job diligently and please give me a chance." I pleaded my every word being true to the core.
So I was an orphan and didn't have anyone to support me. I have to survive on my own.
I, Sienna Davis, am a brunette of 5'1 with brown eyes. I am not beautiful but not ugly too. I guess mediocre is good to say.
"Okay, I give you a chance since your CV isn't bad. Tomorrow morning I want my secretary here at 7." I nodded my head though it was too early. I didn't have any courage to ask him. I could not meet his eyes.
I turned and took a step when he stopped me by saying, "Oh yeah, and don't expect that you'll make me fall in love with you just like the cheesy love stories. If you want to work for me than our relationship is just work-related and nothing more. Is it clear?" He said breaking my heart in the process.
"I'm waiting." He grunted breaking my train of thoughts.
"Yeah" was the only word I managed to say. I scurried out the door. The receptionist smiled and said,
"Congratulations."
I smiled back ready to celebrate my new job with my best friend Jasmine Pitt.
My smile was intact as I left the building. Well since today is such a big day I should celebrate it as much as I can because being a secretary can be tiring.
Oh really! It would be a bliss to see that god like face whole day.
My subconscious mocked. Well he indeed is sinfully handsome? Isn't he? I asked my subconscious back.
Well a man like him would never like someone like me, right? Hey me! What am I thinking? He's my boss. It's inappropriate. Focus on your job. Hot Ellison guy out of my mind. I shook my head vigorously in attempt of forgetting about and it surprisingly worked.
Back to your friend Sienna. I walked smiling ear to ear and reached my small apartment.
I called my best friend, my only family. She picked up after a few rings. She works in a publishing company and her boss is a sixty year old horny ass. "Hey Jas, guess what I got a job." I said laughing.
"And guess what I am super happy for you. This calls for a celebration. Today night at our usual bar. What say?"
"Let's crash there, tonight."
"Bye, sweetheart that bloody ass is calling again." I laughed and went on to take a long and comfortable nap.
At around 6, I woke up, cooked something and went to take a bath. I changed into a black off-shoulder dress which rested on my thighs with sleek long heels. I put on some mascara and a dark red lipstick to complete my look. I looked at the time and it was half past eight. I smiled to myself and took a cab to the club.
Jas was already waiting for me at the door. We gave our id's and entered. From the corner of my eye I saw Jasmine wink a bouncer. I shook my head and we went straight to the bartender. I ordered tequila. I know strong but come on guys I am celebrating.
After sometime I got up and started dancing along sweaty glistening bodies which in normal situation would gross me but the alcohol in my system paid no care.
I danced and danced forgetting about everything. Obviously because Jas would drop me today. We took turns and today was hers. The night went on and nobody knew when it turned to morning.
***
I groaned hearing an irritating sound right beside my ear.
"Come on why is it making sound so early in the morning?"
"Because it doesn't want you to get fired even before you start your job."
"Don't fool me. I don't have a bloody jo-" I stopped myself For heaven's sake I do have a job now.
"For which you are definitely going to be late." Did I say that loud?
I turned to meet the face of the alarm clock which currently showed
6:29 a.m.
"Oh shit. Jasmine my friend help me." I shouted at the top of my lungs. So yeah, I kind of ended at her place since she couldn't take me to my house which I am thankful of now.
"I've placed one of my favourite dresses on the bathroom counter. Shower and off you go, girl."
I hurried to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I booked a cab and just put a single coating of eyeliner on my eyes not bothering with anything more. Soon, I reached my office. I looked at the time.
6:56 a.m.
Damn it! I ran with all my might and managed to get in a closing elevator. I breathed a sigh of relief.
By the time my floor came it was almost 7. Thank God I am not late on my first day. I walked slowly my heels clicking on the floor. I grinned at the receptionist who in turn was shocked well that's strange and went to my 'oh-so handsome' boss.
I knocked twice on his door and heard a faint 'come in'. I entered and went towards his desk.
I smiled my dazzling smile. Well that's what Jasmine says but don't know what a man like him who has seen many beautiful women thinks. Anyways' I don't care about his opinion. Huh?!
You do care!
My rebellious subconscious mocked. I heard a throat clear bringing me back to reality. I looked at his eyes which were cold. More cold than yesterday.
"Any problem, sir?" I asked.
"We are not going to a party today Ms. Davis. " I cocked an eyebrow.
"Excuse me. What do you mean?"
His eyes went down from my face. I followed his eyes. The first thing which came on my mind was that he was a pervert. I looked at him in a whiplash to give him a lecture when I realized something.
My goddamn dress! Damn! Damn!
Well the dress I am wearing is not at all appropriate for office. Why didn't I see my dress before. That Jasmine, I'm not gonna leave her alone. And here I was saying him a pervert.
I peered at him and he was looking at his phone apparently waiting for me to say something. His face said it all.
"Uh- Actually I am sorry I came in a hurry and actually I didn't look at the dress at all."
"We have an important meeting today Ms. Davis. Are you responsible for this job?" He looked at me with those cold emotional beautiful eyes.
I looked down not knowing what to do.
"Fix yourself in 15 minutes and bring me a cup of American Latte." He ordered not even looking at me.
I went out my head hung low. Why am I such a disaster? Ugggh. What to do now?
Just then someone knocked on my door. I let out a whiny 'come in'.
The receptionist on the front desk entered with a small smile playing on her lips.
"May I help you, miss?" She asked politely.
