Ju Long’s mom said that I should memorise our family tree. She showed me some paintings that were painted with blood.

“Mom, what is this?”

“This is our family tree. It will be drawn from our blood when we are born in this family and for the daughter-in-law. Their name will be added only after they give birth to our family heir. As per that, your name hasn’t registered in this.” She said.

“It’s okay, mom.” I said that and let out a sigh.

“Do not give up in any situation. Honey.”

“Okay mom.”

“Tomorrow, I’m going to meet with our clan’s elder. In this time, you and Ju Long go on a trip and come with the happy news.” She said that and left as I looked at the entire book painting. Each book page has information about a single person. I took that book to our bedroom. Ju Long was looking out the window.

“What happened?”

“I wish I were born as a bird rather than living as a golden dragon.”

“Why are you talking like this?”
