Run

Seeing guards storm towards her, Adeline panicked and jumped onto a small sailboat. She unhooked it just as the first guard reached her. The guards tried to stop her from pushing off, but several of them ended falling into the freezing early spring waters of the Sequana. With no guards on the waters yet, Adeline took the opportunity to escape, and frantically rowed out into the middle of the river. She hoisted the sail and let the wind and river carry her as far as she possibly could.

With the winds being in her favor and her already being far down the river before the guards could commandeer a boat, Adeline successfully lost sight of them and rowed on aggressively until she lost sight of the city. Soon a fork in the river appeared. The left side was a continuation of the large river while the right side turned into a small creek not suitable for boats.
