Chapter 20: My Husband Was Awesome

Even God was giving me a chance.

As I said, horses were spiritual animals. Thus, they cared about winning and losing too.

I fell behind in the early stage and I didn't wield the whip, which caused my horse's temper to be suppressed. Now I wielded the whip, and the horse rushed forward like an arrow.

Slowly, I approached Nellie.

When she turned around and saw me close behind her, a trace of panic passed through her eyes, but soon she stabilized and pulled the rope fiercely. The horse raised its hind legs and a gust of wind blew over. The dust instantly filled the air.

Nellie was really willing to do anything to win.

My horse and I were both blinded by the dust.

My horse was out of control. I tried to tighten the rope but to no avail. I was about to be thrown off the horse's back when a horse suddenly whinnied from behind.
