" I will support you every step of the way."

Lisa walked towards the entrance of her rental building, and Canary was waiting for her. He was leaning against the wall, his eyes fixed on her as she approached. A warm smile spread across his face, and he pushed himself off the wall, opening his arms to her.

She fell into his embrace, feeling a sense of relief and happiness wash over her. The hug was tight and comforting, and she felt like she was finally home. He held her for a long moment, his arms wrapped tightly around her, before finally pulling back to look at her.

"Hey," Canary said, his voice low and gentle. "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," Lisa replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Canary smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm sorry I've been so distant lately," he said, his voice filled with regret. "I know I haven't been myself, and I'm sorry if I've worried you."

Lisa reached up and touched his face, her fingers tracing the lines of his jaw. "You don't have to apologize," she said. "I know what you've been going through. I'm just glad it's all over now."

Canary nodded, his eyes searching hers. "Me too," he said. "I'm glad it's all behind us. I feel like I can finally breathe again."

Lisa smiled, feeling a sense of joy and relief wash over her. "I'm glad you can breathe again," she said. "I've missed seeing you smile."

Canary chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I've missed smiling," he said. "I've missed a lot of things, actually."

Lisa raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Oh? Like what?"

Canary leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Like being with you," he said. "Like holding you in my arms and feeling like everything is going to be okay."

Lisa's heart skipped a beat as he spoke, his words sending a shiver down her spine.
