Chapter 17. Regenerative Cycle

Shawn had read the manual for this support-based technique and thought it pretty simple. It was a technique that focused on saving a small reservoir of energy and training the body to increase its healing.

There were a variety of techniques: attack, defense, movement, support, etc. Although Shawn did not pick a movement art when he was out for lack of satisfactory options.

There were two stages for the [Regenerative cycle]: little leaf and big sapling. In the little leaf stage, he would heal about 5% faster while having a 5% increase in stamina regeneration. The big sapling stage boasted a 15% increase in healing, and 10% increase regeneration.

Small leaf stage may be weak but big sapling was undoubtedly a worthwhile gain. Shawn read that for the first stage he had to increase food consumption, learn to draw energy from all over his body to the heart in a specific circulation pattern, and tire himself out continuously.

Shawn couldn't eat right now which hampered his drive to train the technique at the moment, but he already made a plan. Shawn looked at another manual and decide to also learn [Flowing Leg Kick]. This technique had four stages, all focused on the capability of his lower body and core. There was only a set of moves to follow but the strength of his kicks would drastically improve with his progression to each stage of the technique.

He decided to hold off on impact fist and axe man's dance for a couple of reasons. Impact fist was the most complex of the manuals and also the most strenuous on the body. Secondly, Shawn could hardly hold his ax properly so the final manual would be completed at a later date when stronger.
