Heading to the City

Coming out of this house, I looked around and found no human activity here.

"No people? Where are the villagers?"

In my opinion, this is a village, a place where there are only a few houses made of similarly designed wood. Judging from these houses, it seems that they only have 1-2 roars, no 2nd floor. Even for the one there, the well, it is certain that the water supply comes from there.

Looking into the well for a moment, throwing stones into the well, knowing the depth of the well, I feel this well looks different from the age in my world.

"There are no restrictions for this well. It could be dangerous if someone fell into it unaware of this well."

Yeah, there's no restriction for this well, so anyone can fall into it.

Seeing the baton stones near the house, I took the initiative to make the boundaries of this well as it is.

According to people maybe what I did was trivial, but for me, by making this barrier, I can prevent the risk of human death if I fall into the well.

This simple thing I call: Limitation of prevention of death.

After making the good guard, and getting tired enough of doing so, I looked around as far as I could.

As far as my eyes could see, in front of me was the sun that shone on this world, the fields, the streets were messy and some were even destroyed; to my right was a fairly high wall, possibly a wall that contained several humans; to my left, I see a hill that is not too high and some animals, such as deer, pigs, and sheep, running; and behind me was the cat-eared girl's house.

"This place is still awake and so sustainable. The possibility of natural resources is also abundant. Petroleum, clean rivers, dense trees, everything is still awake, not damaged by greedy humans."

Turning my body to the side, I saw a rusty chain lying there.

Approaching the chain, I put my two slits on the sides of the chain.

Rubbing the handcuffs with the chain, I was unsuccessful in breaking these handcuffs on my hands.

"Can't you? Looks like I'll have to find something sharper."

I searched for objects to destroy these handcuffs and found nothing sharp.

I could have smashed these handcuffs with a rock, but since it took so long, I didn't use that method. Simply put, I can't stay here long before that cat-eared girl will come out later. Therefore, I was in a hurry to destroy these handcuffs.

TOK! TOK! TOK!

"Excuse me."

There was no answer, and I did it again.

TOK! TOK! TOK!

"Excuse me, is there anyone inside?"

Still no answer from inside this house.

"As expected, this village has no life other than catgirls."

Tried the same thing in several houses, no one answered, I walked slowly out of this village.

Stopping right under the big board, I saw left and right that looked empty, there was absolutely no activity except for the animals.

"With this comfortable environment, where do people go? Were they gone during the red moon?"

Thinking for a moment, putting my hand to my chin, I crouched down and smeared my hand with dirt.

"Umph..."

This land is dry, but strangely, it is also wet.

"If my guess is correct, what made this soil wet, was because the soil absorbed something last night. But... how come it's dry so fast? Is the absorption of soil in this world different from mine?"

Confused by that, I finally decided to stand up and look at the road leading to the wall.

"My memories of arriving in this world are still vague, but I can still clearly see that the buildings here are different. Was I there before and brought here?"

There were only a few memories before I passed out. It's vague but still etched in my memory, and I know that trying to remember it will surely find the answer to why the ground is wet.

Out of curiosity, I took a deep breath then exhaled slowly, and tried to remember what happened before I passed out and the first time I met the cat girl.

"The red moon… I kicked something that bounced off the building… the wound to my stomach caused me to bleed out… If there is, this world has monsters. In that case, was the one I kicked a monster?"

Considering that the catgirl can use the green light to pull out the bullets stuck in either side of my stomach, I believe that this world has magic. If that's the case, it wouldn't be strange if she could summon me to this world.

"Oh. It means that it is not surprising that the world is at war. Some humans can use magic to survive, some may not have magic, so just hope to survive. I thought it might be like that."

After I said that, I heard the sound of hooves from the corner of the hill—no, rather, the sound of the hoofs of a galloping horse.

Turning to the left, it turned out to be true, there was a crowd of horsemen descending the hill.

"Are they knights in this world? Or, the bandits who will destroy this village and kidnap the catgirl?"

Before they cross the street in front of me, I look for a place to hide to watch their movements.

There are 5 horsemen of whom 3 are men and 2 are women. They were wearing armor with a sword at their waist, and the horses they were riding were seen with some supplies for their travel needs.

Maybe they weren't knights, but adventurers who had just completed their mission. Judging from the horses, which had supplies of travel supplies, they probably wanted to go back to town and report what they had been through. That's my opinion judging from what I saw.

Hiding among the grass near the fields, I saw that they were getting closer to the entrance of the village.

And a moment later, from the direction of the entrance, the catgirl came out already wearing silver leather armor, making her body look slender with her pure white skin.

Stopping right in front of the catgirl, they talked to the cat girl.

"Catrine, how are you? Has Pelastaja awakened?"

Shaking her head, the catgirl answered the question of the man still on the horse and made him look disappointed.

"What do you mean?"

"I told him to leave."

"Hah? Why did you even tell him to leave? What's the matter with you, Catrine?"

"That one... I miss-summoned Pelastaja because that person is a criminal who kills his father."

"But even so… Ah, I see. I know how you feel about a criminal. I'm sorry about what happened to your imouto."

"Thank you, Drake."

"Let's go to town now! Prepare everything, we will accept the quest to save your imouto."

After saying that, the catgirl named Catrine mounted one of the horses.

"Go!"

Loudly, the man led their way toward the wall.

"Do I need to follow them?"

As they left, I followed them from behind because of my high curiosity.

Of the five people, unlike Catrine, they were completely human, meaning it could be inferred that humans coexisted with demi-human beings.

Just a guess, because I saw it in person, so the rest I don't know.

Seeing the banana tree beside me, I plucked the leaf and covered my hand with it.

I can't go there with this condition bound, surely they will immediately think that I am a bad person. Therefore, to anticipate bad things happening to me, I covered my hands with this banana leaf.

"This world… has a pretty hot temperature."

Walking along this road, no longer seeing the shadows of their horses, I hope that it is not far from here.
