Chapter seventy seven Hurtful words

Martin had just fastened his seat belt when his phone rang. He checks it and saw that it was Kayla's mother. "Hi Mrs.Watson, what's up?" He asks in a sympathetic tone. "Hi, good afternoon I was just wondering if you heard anything else about my daughter." She said in a hopeful tone. "Actually I just finished talking to her friend Trisha, who said she asks Kayla to help her with the bills and Kayla refused, they had an argument, she Trisha left town for a week and when she came back Kayla was gone and she has no idea where she is nor does she care."

"Did she move out?" Her mom asks. "According to her Kayla only took a few pieces of clothes and shoes. She said some very nasty things about Kayla which surprised me because I thought they were good friends. Some of the things she said were true but still, she was very hostile." He said with a sigh.

"Well my daughter has a way of bringing out the hostile in people so I'm not surprised, I'm still in touch with the police but they don't have much to tell me, they just said that they're still investigating." Her mom said sadly. "Listen I'll do whatever I can to help them along, whatever I learn I'll share with them." He assures her.

"Thank you, you know she said some very hurtful things to me and her sisters the last time I saw her when she left Tyrone here but she's still my firstborn and I love her very much. I just want to know she's safe." Her mom said in a worried tone. "Alright try not to worry too much, I'll let you know if I hear anything else okay." "Okay, thanks again." "No problem."

Mrs. Watson had just returned from the supermarket when her phone rang. "Hi Tyler, how are you?" She asks in a cheerful tone. "I'm good, how are you and the kids?" "Much better thanks to you." "Glad I can help, the other day you said Tyrone wasn't feeling well, how is he now?" He asks. "He had an ear infection but he's much better now, the girls are a big help.'

"Speaking of the girls, from their last school report I can see they're doing very well, I'm very proud of them and I have a surprise for them, I was thinking of dropping it off at your house this evening." He said. "Thank you very much, they would love that. So how's your wife?" She asks.

"She's in a very delicate situation but we have had a good few weeks, no spotting or cramps, she spends most of her time in bed resting which keeps things moving smoothly, so thank God for that, my little Faith is growing healthy and life is good, thanks be to God." "Wonderful, I'm so happy for you, may God's richest blessings be with you always." She said. "Thank you and may it also be with you, so I'll see you later then?" "We'll see you later." 'Okay then bye."
