Ty's arms automatically tighten around his son when he feels the child shift in his arms. His eyes flew open and he smile when he realize that it was Janice who was gently removing the child from his arms.
"Ooops sorry baby, I didn't mean to wake you." She apologizes softly. "That's okay kitten, what time is it?" He asks in a sleepy tone. "Five am, did you get a chance to talk to Caleb last night?" She asks putting the bottle of feeding into her son's mouth.
"No, he's been avoiding me like the plague," Ty grumbles sadly as he got up and began working the knots from his neck. "At about two am I gave up the idea of talking to him and came to check on the kids and found Tyrique fussing and decides to rock him for a while, I guess the rest is history." He chuckles.
"He's still angry about what Maya said." She states. "I mean yeah he is and even though what she said was true, I still wish she hadn't dropped me in the middle of this, Caleb's anger is no joke kitten." He snorts.
"Do you know where she went when she left here?"She asks. "The guys said she went back to her apartment packed a few of her things and went to her mother's house."
"My little princess on the other hand hasn't moved an inch since I came in here, I mean she could sleep through a hurricane." He said smiling down at his daughter. "Like mother, like daughter." Janice laughs.
With her son now sleeping soundly, she gently placed him in his crib and covers his little feet. She then put Faith's container of porridge in the warmer and they quietly left the room. As soon as they enter their room he went to freshen up while she straightens the sheets, then when he was finished she went in and was out in a matter of minutes.
They were in the middle of a passionate kiss and he was just about to lay her on the bed when Faith's cry could be heard over the monitor. "Seriously bad timing as usual princess." He laughs against her lips and lets her go. "I'll go check on her." He said kissing her lips again before walking out the door.
A few minutes later Janice enters the children's room dressed in a light green dress and soft pumps to match, her braids laying on her shoulders. The dress hugs her curves in ways that made his groin throb with sexual need and the fact that her full breasts were standing at attention drives his senses wild.
"You are positively beautiful Tinker bell." He smiles biting his lips. "Thank you, baby, so I guess she won't be going back to sleep anytime soon huh?" She asks playing with her daughter's cheeks. "I really don't think so." He chuckles. "Alright then, you go get ready for work while I deal with her." She said taking the child. "Okay kitten, I guess I'll have to wait until lunchtime then." He moans grabbing her butt. "Can't wait." She giggles.
On his way to his room, he saw Caleb's door open and walks quickly towards it and saw Caleb sitting in front of his computer. "Um…hi…are you okay?" Ty asks in a nervous tone.
"I'm fine," Caleb said in a cold tone. "Um, about what Maya said last nig…" "What? Are you here to gloat about how perfect you are?" Caleb cuts him off without looking at him. "I'm not perfect Caleb," Ty replies in a hurt tone.
"Could've fooled me because everyone seems to think you are." Still not looking at him Caleb continues to click away at his keyboard.
"What exactly did I do to deserve this level of hostility from you, Caleb?" Ty asks in a shaky tone. "Oh you didn't do anything brother, you're perfect, remember; now if you don't mind, I'm busy." Caleb sneers his back still to him.
"Come on Caleb I'm sure she didn't mean what she said." "Yes she did, but maybe if you weren't so fucking perfect people would stop comparing me to you." Caleb snaps angrily. "Now do me a favored brother, go be perfect someplace else." With that Caleb sucks his teeth and begins clicking away at his computer again.
For a few moments, Ty didn't move. He just stands there staring at his older brother, the one that has protected him since he was small, the one that despite his many flaws he loves very much.
His heart hurt to think that Caleb could be this angry at him for something that wasn't even his fault. Taking a deep shaky breath he walks slowly from the room with tears in his eyes and bumps into Janice who was standing at the door.
"Baby wait he didn't mean it." She said when he walks past her without saying a word. Before she could stop him he went into the bathroom and close the door.
A few minutes later he came out, fully dressed, she had put his clothes in there before joining him in the children's room. "Baby he didn't mean it, he's angrier at himself than he is at you." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. "I know kitten but his words still hurt like a knife to my heart." He said pecking her lips before walking from the room.
He enters the kitchen, says good morning without looking anyone in the eye, picks up his lunch bag, traveling cup of hot Milo, and turns to leave but then stops in front of Janice and pulls her to him.
"I'll see you at lunch okay, I love you." He said softly but as he walks away she heard when he took another deep shaky breath.
