Chapter 170 Not today

"I've been working out for decades now but that was by far the most intense workout I've ever tried," Samson said taking in a deep breath. "Feel better?" Ty asks. "Yes, thanks but on the other hand, I told my wife about you and your family," Samson said.

"And?" Ty asks. "Well from the moment I mention that you were all S D A she didn't want to hear anymore, oh and she ordered me to stay away from all of you." He snorts. "Does she knows you're here now?" "Yes and if you think she's going to be angry about that? Wait until I tell her I'm taking Bible classes with you guys." He snorts again.

"Are you going to tell her?" Ty asks. "Eventually, yes, speak the truth, speak it ever, cost it what it will." He said taking another sip of his water. "But honestly, it's not a conversation I'm looking forward to, but then again, I don't take kindly to being controlled either," Samson said with a heavy sigh. "Okay then, but if it gets a little heated and you need some breathing space, you know where to come, yes?" "Yes, and thank you," Samson said with a smile.

"Now seriously, tell me, do you ever get tired of all this attention?" Ty asks observing his female cousins drooling over Samson. "Not really," Samson said flexing his breast and biceps which made the ladies giggles and hide their faces. "Yeah, real eye candy." Ty laughs shaking his head.

"So, things any better with your wife?" Ty asks. "On and off, one minute everything is okay and the next…." "I understand, marriage is hard work but we'll all keep praying for you guys," Ty said slapping Samson's shoulder.

Just then Peter and three of his cousins storm over to them, standing with their feet apart and arms folded across their chests. "Listen cuz, we know Samson came into this family through you and your wife but we spend more time with him than you do, damn he's practically family," Peter said in an annoyed tone.

"Yeah, we see him almost every day when he comes by to pick up the pastries he keeps ordering from aunty," Mark adds. "We even help him distribute them to the homeless people he looks out for," Chad states with an attitude. "And we sometimes deliver pastries to his sister-in-law's pastry shop," Chad adds.

"He feeds over forty homeless people every day, sometimes even more," Peter said. "You do?" Ty asks in surprise. "Yes he does, and f y I you jumped to the wrong conclusion when you walked into the gym earlier. What you saw was just a couple of guys having fun." Peter said.

"Yeah, we were not laughing at him, just the situation," Chad said. "Yeah, he's one of us now, so taking him out is not an option anymore." Mark laughs. "Yeah, so we don't appreciate you coming in there acting as if you have to protect him from us," Peter said in an annoyed tone.

"Alright guys, please stop, I know you all mean well but please don't argue because of me," Samson said in an embarrassed tone. " Okay, my bad, sorry for misreading the situation," Ty said raising both hands in surrender. "Good, and we accept, so Samson, feel like giving it another try?" Mark asks. "Yes, but not today, I have a meeting to get to," Samson replied.

"Alright just let us know when you're ready to take another whack at it." Mark laughs as they all walk away. "There's still a lot I don't know about you, isn't there?" Ty asks. "yep and it's going to take a while to fill you in but don't worry, we'll get there." Samson laughs.

Ty was all smiles as he left the chief of staff office. He had just been given an award for his outstanding performance in his training in Atlanta. After everything he and his kitten had been through during his training, it was a surprise he had been able to complete it much less completing his training at the top of his class and none of it would've been possible if it wasn't for his wonderful wife.

All he wanted right now was to go home and share this amazing news with his wife. He was passing the nursing station when some of the nurses and doctors including Jason jumps out shouting congratulations and presented him with a cake.

"We're proud of you man, keep up the good work alright," Jason said hugging him. Jason finished third in the training but he wasn't angry or jealous of Ty for finishing first, Jason was his number one supporting friend right there next to Jessica. "Thank you, everyone, thank you, I appreciate this, your support means a lot to me." He said hugging each of them. "So are you all going to help me eat this or what?" Ty asks with a laugh.
