"The first splatter is my mother's as it pools beneath my palms: it's liquid gold. She’s beautiful, and crying, and not at all scared. I'm folded into her trembling form as my father lays waste to our barn, blood-curdling screams erupting magic boom, after sonic shred."



She takes a moment to think things over.

Mercy was not borne by bride and breast, she was created with blood and bone into the New Sublunary. Her mother, a mysterious figure, brings a child to life with limitless potential.



Mercy will cultivate her power and amass an army of creatures and humans alike to earn her title as "Monarch Class Monster," bringing peace and prosperity to the world - but first war and revenge.
