Chapter 1

"Alright class, welcome back." said Professor Kim towards his students right after he entered the urban planning studio.

"Morning professor~" greeted his students.

"I believe you all are expecting me to give an assignment on our first day of class, am I right?" asked Professor Kim and his students started to sighing when they heard 'assignment'.

"I can't help but you're an urban planning student and we waste no time. Because we have lots of things that needs to be done, especially studio work." said Professor Kim as he opens a file on the computer to explain about the studio assignment for this last semester before they start becoming an internship student next semester.

Lia, was sitting on her table while listening to Professor Kim explaining to them about the studio assignments this semester. As usual, Lia will be jotting down her notes on her notebook as her reference later.

"Alright, you can form into a group of four. The assignment won't be that hard like before, but this time, I want all of you choose a well-developed site and appraised it." said Professor Kim while looking at the slide. "Also, you are required to do some research on what kind of appraisal method that you are going to evaluate on your site. This semester, I allowed you to choose your own site, but make sure, it is well developed. For instance, Hanok Village? It's one of the most popular sites for tourist." Added Professor Kim as he sits on the computer table.

All of his students were listening to the explanation regarding on their assignment because studio is one of the most important subject, and the hardest assignment that needs to be done. Sometimes, they can't even sleep in order to prepare for their project. "I guess that's all for today's briefing and please submit to me your group members by 5pm today and if you have any questions you can directly knock on my door and I'll be there during your studio hours. Thank you and have a nice day everyone." Said Professor Kim as he left the studio.

As soon as their lecturer left the studio, most of the students have started to look for their group members. Even though it's already her fourth year, it's still hard for Lia to find a group for her assignments. One, it's because she's an introvert. Two, she doesn't have many friends that she's close with in the class. While she was busying looking left and right trying to look for a group, she heard someone called her from behind.

"Lia-ah~"

When Lia looked at her back, the one who called her just now was Dan. "Have you found your group yet?" asked Daniel as he walked near Lia.

Lia was surprised by his question. Dan has never talked to her before this and this is the first time he had asked her if she wants to be in his group. Truth to be told, Lia had a crush on him ever since he helped her on that rainy day. No one knows that she had a crush on him except her best friend, Liyli.

Lia shook her head slowly while looking down as she was too shy to talk with Dan.

"No." said Lia with her slow voice.

"Dan, we don't need her... we can find someone else." Said one of his friend, Park In Ha while giving her a sharp gaze hinting her that she doesn't want Lia to be in her group.

"Come on guys, we just need one more person. Lia doesn't even have a group yet." Said Dan trying to persuade his friends to accept Lia as their group members but they remain silent. Lia was about to refuse him but before she could say anything Dan has cut her words.

"I'll take that as a yes then." said Dan. Then, he looked at her while giving her his sweet smiles. "You're in my group now." Said Dan and Lia nodded. "Well, thank you." Said Lia and packed her bag.

"By the way, you can look for my number in class group chat and just text me if there's any discussion or if you wanna add me in the group assignment chat…" informed Lia to Dan as she stood from her seat getting ready the leave the studio. "Goodbye, Dan." Said Lia slowly enough for Dan to hear. Dan, who heard it, and bid her a goodbye too. "Oh alright, goodbye then, see you Lia." Smiled Dan and waved at her. With that, Lia left the studio.

As soon as Lia left the studio, Lia was leaning against the wall while hugging her laptop and holding her mouth. No one knows how nervous she was that time because she was too happy. She feels like she could just jump high in glee and shouted 'oh my god!' but she remains standing there trying to hold back her happiness.

*can't believe I just talked to Dan!* thought Lia happily.

While Lia was so into her laptop in the library, someone slung her arms on her shoulder and it was her best friend, Liyli. Both of them has been best friend from school and no matter what happens, both of them are always there for each other. Right after Lia left the studio, she decided to sit in the library to continue writing her thesis. Plus, she can easily find any books regarding her research too.

"Oh my god Liyli, at least say hi, please. I almost screamed." Said Lia in lower afraid the Librarian and other student would hear them since they're in a library. She was touching her chest and she could feel her heart beating rapidly from being too surprised by Liyli.

"Ops. Sorry bestie~" whispered Lily while giggling slowly as she took a seat in front of Lia.

"Why aren't you in the studio? Usually you're always in the studio doing your work…" said Liyli while putting her bag on the table.

"Well… something happened and I feel like doing my thesis and I need to find some books so that's why I'm here." Answered Lia but Liyli noticed that her cheeks suddenly turned pink.

"Hey…. Someone need to share with me about the 'something happened' "said Liyli as she emphasized the word while poking her arms.

"You're all red now. Come on, tell me what happened~" said Liyli and this time, she was shaking her arms making Lia feel annoyed.

*she knows everything* thought Lia as she shook her head and give her small laugh at her best friend. Then, Lia started to tell Liyli everything that happened in the studio this morning.

"WHAT?!" shouted Liyli in her lower voice and Lia covered her mouth with her hands afraid that Liyli's voice will surprised the people in the library.

"Library, Liyli." Said Lia reminding Liyli that they are in a library.

"So now you're in the same group as Dan for your studio project?" asked Liyli and Lia nodded while smiling.

"eyyyy you're one step ahead bestie!" said Liyli happily.

"We're just an assignment groupmates. Nothing more~" said Lia as she typed on her laptop. Then, both of them were sitting in the library till in the evening with Lia doing her thesis, and Liyli was finishing her tutorial questions that needs to be submitted before 5pm to her lecturer.

That night, Lia was sitting at outside of her rooftop house just to feel the night breeze. One of the reason why she rented a rooftop house is that something she would be imagining herself being in a Korean drama where the main lead always sitting there looking that dark sky while talking with someone. Other than that, whenever Lia was too stressed sitting too long in her room from doing the assignment, she would sit here while looking at the Namsan Tower. That also is one of the things why Lia likes this house. While Lia was feeling the night breeze, suddenly she missed talking with her mom and she decided to call her.

"Hi mom," greeted Lia.

"Hello sweetheart it's been a while you haven't call me nor coming home… are you that busy huh?" asked Mrs. Han playfully.

"I thought I went home for a week during my semester break… mom…. It's not that I don't even go home~" answered Lia as she shook her head while smiling looking at the Namsan Tower in front of her that changed its light from red to yellow.

"It's getting colder now… don't forget to wear thick clothes and take care of yourself… it's your last semester…" said Mrs.Han

"Yeah yeah mom I know… I'm a grown up~" laughed Lia

"Have you found any company for your internship yet?" asked Mrs.Han.

"Not yet… still looking…" said Lia while looking down.

"Don't worry mom… I'll find a good company… okay?" said Lia trying to assure her mom.

"Alright then… sleep early if you have morning class tomorrow." said Mrs. Han.

"Yeah of course…" said Lia.

But she knows that she won't be sleeping early tonight because she has to do her thesis because she has an appointment with her thesis supervisor tomorrow after lunch. With that, both of them talked to each other for a few more minutes before Lia said that she has to go inside since the weather has gotten colder in the middle of the night.

------------------------

A few days later, weekend is finally here. As usual, Lia would go to Han River to write her novel. Easy to say, sitting at the Han River gives her lots of ideas for her stories. She thought that by looking at the people interactions and everything could give her ideas. Writing is her hobby. She's been writing ever since she was a high school girl. Before, she used to write in books, then Liyli would be the one who would read her story. She's her loyal reader, even till now. But now, since online novel is getting more popular, she also started to write a few online novel during her free time. Ever since she became a senior she was too stressed with thesis research, finding a place for internship and many more. Therefore, writing is a healing for her.

As soon as she's done getting her lunch in one café nearby her house area, she took the public bus and go to the Han River.

"Feels good~" muttered Lia alone as soon as she got off from the bus. Then, she went to a bicycle Rental Centre to rent a bicycle. Lia always rent a bicycle at the Han River. Before she writes, she would cycling around the Han River and once she got tired she would stop to take a rest and start writing. She would just pour every ideas that comes into her mind and turned it into a story. If she don't feel like writing, she would bring her journal or listening to a music alone while looking at the people passing by. Well, she's an introvert. She don't hang out and talk much to people. she prefer to spend time alone.

After a few minutes of cycling, finally Lia stop at this one area where she can sit on the grass while looking at the river in front her. The weather was pretty chilly on that day because winter is coming soon and Lia was so glad that she brought and extra jacket to put it on over her wool cardigan.

Once she's satisfied looking at the view in front of her, Lia thought that she has to continue writing her novel. She took out her book and started to write. Last night before she sleeps, instead of doing her thesis, she logged into her online novel account and managed to draft half of the final chapter of her current story. So today, she thought of finishing the chapter and end the story.

While she was so into her book, she heard a familiar voice was calling her.

"Lia?"
