Chapter 18

Right after meeting with In Ha and Liyli, Lia straight away went home. As soon as she finished showering, she went to sit on a couch to watch the television. While she was watching, she heard her phone beeped and thought that it was a text from In Ha and Liyli but to her surprised, it was a text from Dan.

"Lia-ah, are you asleep? Should we talk?" texted Dan.

Lia was too surprised to receive his text. She just can't believe that Dan texted her after all cries she had just now. She took her phone and replied him.

"Not yet. I'm free now…" replied Lia.

A few seconds later, right after she replied him, she got a call from Dan and she picked up the phone call.

"H-hi, Dan." Greeted Lia.

"Lia-ah" called Dan.

Oh, how Lia misses those voices of him calling her name.

"Are you asleep?" asked Dan.

"No, I was watching the tv…" answered Lia while she was playing her fingers with the cushion.

"I was thinking… I think it's time that I will tell you everything and it's time we should talk about it…" said Dan and Lia remain silent listening to what he was going to say.

"Should we meet up next week weekend?" asked Dan.

"Next weekend?" asked Lia as she got up and went to her room to look at her calendar. Then she noticed that she will be spending her time with her big family at a ski resort to celebrate for a winter vacation. Every year, her whole family will have a gathering there.

"I'm sorry… I have a family gathering at a ski resort next weekend…" said Lia.

"Oh… then… I guess we should meet up right after you got back from the ski resort, is that alright?" asked Dan.

Lia was thinking that it's was too long to wait but then, she agreed.

"Okay then, I'll see you then." Answered Lia

"Alright, see you and sweet dreams Lia-ah" said Dan.

It's been a while Lia haven't heard it and she was smiling.

"You too. Goodbye Dan." Said Lia and hug up the phone and can't wait for the day they're going to meet later and hoping the days would pass by quickly.

A week later, Lia was at the ski resort, spending her time with her family. Most of her relatives have arrived ad gathered in the villa that they rented. The elders are talking in the living room while the kids are getting reading to go for a ski together. Lia was waiting in the living room for her cousin, Seojun. He was one of the closest cousins that Lia has. She shared almost everything to him.

"Noona, we're going first!" said Jun Ah as he walked away with her other younger cousin.

"Oh, okay, be careful!" yelled Lia.

"Mina-ah, you're not going?" asked Lia to her younger sister who was playing phone in the living room.

"Nope. Later~" answered Mina as she was scrolling on her phone. A few seconds later, Seojun came out from his room and noticed that Lia was waiting for him in bored. He chuckled, seeing her.

"Did you wait that long?" asked Seojun as he went near her.

"Oppa, I almost grow a beard waiting for you." Said Lia "come on, they have gone out already~" whined Lia. She will never whine at anyone except Seojun. He was like an older brother to her.

"Arasseo… come on~" said Seojun. Then, he noticed that Mina was still in the living room. "Yah Mina-ah, you're not coming?" asked Seojun.

"Nope. I don't feel like going… but if I'm bored, I'll join~" answered Mina and Seojun nodded. Then, both of them went to the ski area together. Once they have arrived there, they noticed that most of their relatives are having fun together. Some of them went to the ice sled, some of them was skiing from the hill and some of them were riding the chair lift to go on top of the hill for ski.

"Hyung!!" waved Jun Ah on the chair lift and Seojun waved him back. "Should we ride that too?" asked Seojun and Lia nodded with a smile. "Let's go~" said Seojun as he led the way. After waiting for a few minutes for their turn, finally it was their turn. Once they get on the cable chair, Lia noticed that the view was very beautiful. She wanted to take a photo and she took out her phone. While she was unlocking her phone, Seojun noticed her wallpaper was a photo of her with a guy next to her.

"Is that your boyfriend?" asked Seojun and Lia got startled. She has never told anyone except her friends about her going out with Dan.

"Seojun oppa, did you see my wallpaper?" asked Lia and Seojun nodded.

"Well? Do you have anything to share with me? It's been a while we haven't talk~" said Seojun and crossed his arms waiting for Lia to tell him about Dan. Lia let out a sigh.

*I can never keep a secret with him* thought Lia.

"W-well, he's my boyfriend. We know each other because we're classmates. We've been going out together since this year autumn… but currently…." Said Lia as she paused for a while.

"What's wrong?" asked Seojun as he noticed that Lia suddenly looked sad while looking at the hill in front of them.

"We haven't talked to each other for almost a month now… I'm the one who told him to take a break… there's a misunderstanding between us…" said Lia "I missed him a lot. There are days when I just wanna call him and tell him how my days are going like how we used to do. But then, at the same time I'm waiting for him to call me first…" added Lia.

"But that's okay," said Lia as she turned to look at Seojun. "We promised that we will meet and have a talk next week." Smiled Lia.

"Are you gonna break up with him?" asked Seojun suddenly. But Lia shook her head with a smile. "I never thought of breaking up with him… but there are things that make me think, weather I should break up with him or not." Answered Lia.

"And why is that?" asked Seojun while listening to her. "I got offered for a job. And the job requires me to go somewhere and stay there for a year. I don't know if we're able to have a long distance relationship together…" answered Lia.

"You know, about this… you guys should really talk to each other… you can't just keep quiet about this…" said Seojun and Lia nodded. "I know… don't worry, we will talk about it. okay?" said Lia. Then, she passed her phone to Seojun asking him to take a photo of her.

"Come on, the view is nice here, take a picture for me please?" asked Lia. She remembered how Dan used to take a candid photo of her a lot and also made a silly caption on her photo and made her laugh. Oh, how she missed sharing her laughter with him.

"Click!" the photo has been captured.

Lia was making a victory sign and smiled in the photo. "You should send the photo to him to let him know that you're doing fine~" said Seojun. "Because if I'm at his place, I'm sure I'm gonna be worried sick about my girlfriend." Added Seojun.

*should I?* thought Lia. After a few second of thinking, before both of them gets off from the cable chair, Lia decided to send the photo to Dan.

"Just to let you know I'm doing fine and I'm already at the ski resort with my family. See you, Dan :)"

Then, right after she sends the text, both of them gets off from the chair lift and starts skiing together. The talk with Seojun made Lia realised that even though they're not talking to each other, but at least telling each other that they're doing fine was already enough to let him know that she still loves him.

At night, Lia was having a dinner with her family. They were making some barbeques, grilling some meats. Once Lia has filled her stomach, she sat at a table with her siblings while holding her hand phone. She keeps on unlocked and locked her phone waiting for Dan to reply her. "So good!" said Junah with his mouth full with food.

"Yah, don't talk while eating." Scolded Lia but he ignored her. Then, Junah noticed that his older sister keeps on looking at her phone and decides to ask her.

"Noona, waiting for Dan hyung?" asked Junah.

"Yah, quiet, will you?" said Lia in annoyed and before she could hit him, Seojun came with a plate full with the meat he grilled just now.

"Yah yah, keep quiet and eat this." Said Seojun and places the plate full of meat on the table.

"Seojun oppa, thank you!" said Mina happily as she digs in with Junah.

"Aren't you eating?" asked Seojun to Lia.

"I'm full, by the way, I wanna take a walk for while… tell mom and dad, okay?" asked Lia to her siblings and they replied 'okay' while eating happily. Lia chuckled as she shook her head finding how silly they are.

"Be careful, it's getting cold now… don't forget your jacket." Said Seojun and Lia nodded.

"Arrasseo~" said Lia as she grabbed her jacket and brown uggs and left the villa. Lia was taking a stroll while holding her phone in her pocket. She pouted as she saw no notification from Dan yet. *is he that busy to notice my text?* thought Lia.

"I even send him a photo." Muttered Lia alone as she kicked few of the icy snow on the ground while pouting.

"Probably he was too busy with his fiancée. I'm not even beautiful like her…" muttered Lia again. As she was walking, looking at the ground, kicking some snow, she saw someone's feet on the ground standing in front of her. She looked up and surprised to see that person. He was smiling at her and extended his arms wanting to hug her.

"D-Dan ah…"
