Final

Both Lia and Dan was having fun together with their graduation photoshoot at Yeouido Park. He took a lot of candid photos of Lia. Whenever he saw she was smiling, he would capture it. Both of them were walking side by side with their graduation robe. Dan noticed that Lia was shivering due to the cold.

"Cold?" asked Dan and Lia nodded.

"That's okay, we should hurry and let's get to a café nearby to have some hot drinks~" said Lia.

"By the way, we haven't taken any photos for you yet…" pouted Lia. "You're too busy taking my photos… come on, I help you." Said Lia as she took his camera and try to capture candid photos of Dan. Then, she began to laugh looking at the photo she just took. The photo was shaky and Dan's face barely even see in the photos. "Oh my god, you look like a ghost!" laughed Lia.

"Don't tease me, alright. Come on, I teach you." Said Dan as he went near her and teach her how to take a photo with a good angle and lighting. He was holding the camera together with Lia's hands.

"See this, make sure it aligned with my feet and also, make sure the lighting is on my face… or else it'll look dark… Right after you're confident with it, press the shutter." Said Dan and Lia nodded. Then, Dan was standing not too far from her and Lia did what he had taught her just now. Once she's satisfied with the angle, she pressed the shutter and a photo of Dan with a graduation robe has been captured.

"Done!" said Lia as she ran lightly towards him to show the photo that she captured just now. Dan found it cute with those little antics of her.

"Is this okay?" asked Lia and Dan took the camera and have a look on the photo.

"I'm a great teacher~" said Dan being proud of himself.

"Don't be so full of yourself. Your student here is a clever student~" said Lia as she flipped her hair making Dan chuckled. "Alright, stand there, let me take another photo of you…" said Dan and Lia made a pose as she stands while touching her mortar board, looking at the white sky with smiles plastered on her face.

Right after Dan captured the photo, he smiles in satisfaction. Lia looked so beautiful. "How do I look?" asked Lia as she went near him. "Beautiful as always." Smiled Dan making Lia blushed. While they were talking, suddenly a man who was taking a stroll there notices them wearing a graduation robe.

"Should I help you both?" asked the man as he walked near them.

"Yes, please. We haven't got to take a photo of us together yet…" said Dan as he gives the man his camera and walked back standing next to Lia. As the man was adjusting the camera angle for them, Lia was standing still looking very awkward feeling shy seeing the man as the photographer. Dan who noticed it, brought Lia near him as he holds her shoulders.

"Come on," said Dan as he brought Lia closer to him.

"Okay, ready, 1,2,3. Click!" the photo has been captured.

"Okay, do you need more?" asked the man and Dan nodded.

"Yeah, one more, please." Said Dan and led the pose. He brought Lia standing in front of him making them look at each other. Lia couldn't help but smile seeing how Dan became a model instead of the photographer. Then, she felt Dan was holding her waist and brought her closer to him. Their faces are inches away. If someone pushes them, they might kiss.

"Nice." Said the man and without saying anything, he captured a candid photo of them. Dan who noticed that the man keeps on pressing the shutter button, he was whispering a little joke making Lia let out her small laugh so that the man could take a few candid photos of her smiling. Truth to be told, Lia doesn't feel awkward and shy anymore to pose in front of the man with Dan by her side. A few minutes later, with the help of the man, they managed to get a few of their graduation photos together.

"Congratulations to all graduates!" said the MC.

Once the graduation ceremony has ended, all of the students went out of the hall looking for their family. As for Lia, as soon as she exited the hall, she saw her family was already outside with her dad holding a bouquet of flower. She ran lightly towards them and hugged each one of them.

"Congratulations my daughter~" said Mrs. Han as they hug. Mrs. Han let out tears of joy seeing her daughter looking so beautiful in that robe, feeling proud and happy knowing that her daughter have finally graduated. She knows how hard she had worked for the past four years.

"Congratulations~" said Mr. Han as he gives Lia the flower bouquet. Never would she have thought she would receive a bouquet from her father. She was touched and tears escape her eyes. "Thanks dad~" thanked Lia as she hugs her father tightly.

"Noona, we also brought you something~" said Junah and Mina handed out a paper bag to her. Lia took the paper bag and saw it's their family portrait. It was a photo that they took at Dan's studio the other today. "I asked Dan oppa to print it out in a small size for you so that you can bring it tomorrow~" said Mina.

"Aww you guys~~" said Lia as she cried, hugging her other siblings feeling touched. Mina and Juna too cried knowing that they won't be seeing their older sister for a year. "Don't forget to call me every week, okay? Let me know about your studies and listen to mom and dad. Alright?" said Lia as she broke the hug and both Junah and Lia nodded as they wipe their tears.

While the whole family was in tears, Lia heard a familiar voices were calling for her and it was her friends. They were waving at her asking to join them for a photo. After she bid her family a goodbye, she walked to them and straight away went to Dan and hug him. "Dan noticed tears were stained on her cheeks and wiped it using his thumb. "Have you said goodbye to your family?" asked Dan and Lia nodded.

"By the way, thanks, for the photo. Mina told me she asked for your help~" said Lia. Both of them were still hugging while looking at each other. Dan couldn't help but to kiss on the tip of her nose. "Congratulations, and thank you for being by my side and be here together with me on our graduation day." Said Dan and Lia beamed.

Their friends were watching over them and keep on teasing them.

"Alright, alright stop showing off that you both are a couple because the three of us are still single, alright?" said In Ha.

"Come on, let's take a photo together!" said Liyli.

"How should we pose?" asked Donghoon.

"How about, we jump and throw our mortar board in the air?" suggested Lia and they all agreed. After finding someone to help them to take a photo for them, they begin to jump and throw their mortar board in the air.

"I DID IT!" yelled Donghoon happily as he jumped.

As for Lia, as she jumped, she was so grateful to have them by her side on her graduation day. All this time, she thought she would be alone together with Liyli by her side. But now, she has Donghoon and In Ha as a friend and Dan, as someone that she loves so much by her side.

*thank you* thought Lia as she jumped, throwing the mortar board while her left hand was holding the star pendant on her necklace. One of her goals have achieved.

A year later…..

Lia has arrived at Incheon airport getting a taxi to attend Dan's photo exhibition. Her job in Malaysia has ended and she's finally back to South Korea to meet her friends and family. A week ago, while they were making a video call, Dan had said he would have a mini photo exhibition and he invited Lia to attend it. Lia was so happy to know that Dan finally had a photo exhibition on his own and to know that his photo studio was getting more recognition and he had become one of the most successful photographers in the country.

As soon as she reached the exhibition, she noticed that Donghoon and In Ha has arrived. Donghoon is a worker working in one of the most established urban planning company while In Ha, instead of becoming an urban planner, she had become one of the most popular models. Judging by what she used to dress up during her study days, her being a model is the most suitable job for her.

"Hi guys!" called Lia as she went near them.

"Oh my god Lia! I missed you!" said In ha as she hugged her tightly.

"Yah, you both just video call last night~" said Donghoon

"But still, I missed her!" Said In Ha.

"Where's Liyli?" asked Lia.

"She's going to interview Dan later, so probably she's preparing with her team~" answered In Ha and Lia nodded. She remembered how Liyli told her that she finally became a permanent worker and got to be an announcer. Knowing that she would be the one to interview their friend, Lia feel so happy. She's happy that each one of her friends has found their dreams. "Lia-ah, we need to go to that side and see more photos, see you later~" said In Ha leaving Lia alone there.

Lia begins to look for Dan, but he was nowhere to be found. Then, while she was looking for him, she noticed a familiar photo. It was a photo of her. The one that Dan took on the Han River, and the one that Dan won first place in the competition.

Lia walked near the photo and noticed the caption 'Love of My Life' and read the description. It was different that the one that Dan wrote back in the competition before.

"Back to the days where I first have the courage to talk to her, she was looking so beautiful."

"It's different…" muttered Lia alone. Then, she walked away and looked at the next photo. And it was a photo of her too.

"Oh?" said Lia feeling surprised. Then, she begins to look at her surroundings, she notices that the hall who was been full with people just now have already empty and she was alone. She started feeling scared.

"Dan?" called Lia but to no avail. Then, she begin to look around the exhibition section that she is currently at now, to her surprised, the section was actually full with her photos. *what is going on?* thought Lia. Then, she went to the next photo, and it was a photo of her went to the site visit with Dan for the first time at Hanok Village. She doesn't know when Dan took a photo of her standing while holding a sheet of paper looking at the camera with a smile.

"Our first day of going out together. Never would I have thought that I would spend most of my time with her."

Then Lia walked to the next photo and it was a photo of her that Dan took when they went for a camping.

"She is one of the strongest girl I've ever known. No matter how sad she was, she never fails to give me a smile."

Lia literally smiled seeing the caption. As she takes a look on the photo, she still remembered the days she had been through. The one she was mad at Liyli, and the misunderstanding between her and Dan. No matter how hard it was, she can still smile. Dan was there when she had an argument with Liyli. His presence is the one that makes her smile. While she had a misunderstanding between Dan, which they almost break up, In Ha and Liyli was there for her. Easy to say, each of their presence made her smiles. She's grateful to have them by her side.

The fourth photo was the last one and it was their graduation photo it was the one both of them were looking at each other tenderly with Dan holding her waist. Both of them were smiling.

"We used to have a big misunderstanding that almost lead us to break up before, and I missed her so much that I have never thought that we could graduate together. But now…."

As Lia read, the caption she noticed that the caption is not finished yet. Then, as she turns the back on her heels, she noticed that Dan were there too, standing at the back. Not just Dan, but her friends and a few guests was there too standing looking at her. She saw Dan walked near her with a smile.

Suddenly, as he walked and stand in front of her, Dan took her hands.

"After separating with each other for a year, I would like to spend my life with her. So Lia," said Dan as he get on one knee and pull out a ring.

"Will you marry me?" Asked Dan while looking at Lia as he hold the ring.

Lia who was standing just finally realized that the photos, the caption, and this exhibition were actually Dan's plan to propose to her. She can feel that her cheeks turned pink as she was too shy seeing lots of people are witnessing how Dan proposed to her. But then, without any thinking, Lia took the ring from his hand and said,

"Yes, I will." Smiled Lia as she put on the ring on her finger.

Right after Lia answered him, Dan straight away, pull her in his arms while the audience, including their friends are clapping their hands congratulating them.

"Thank you for saying yes.." said Dan as he gives her a peck on her lips making Lia blushed.

After Dahlia got returned, both she and Dan has spent their time together almost every day to cover up their missing days of not being together for a year. One day, both of them were at the beach, looking at the sunset sitting on the sand together side by side. While both of them had a talk she noticed that Dan suddenly got up and went in front of her.

"Will you marry me?" asked Daniel as he gets on one knee. And Dahlia was too surprised by it.

"Yes, I will." Smiled Dahlia and Daniel put the ring on her finger.

Then, he lifted her up in the air, making her squealed feeling happy and thankful with her answers. As soon as her feet reach to the ground, Daniel went near her face till their lips touch and they kissed as the sun sets.

Their wedding ceremony ended well with their close friends, and relatives as their guests. All of them were witnessing their vow at the garden full with flowers blooming in the area. It was serene and peaceful for them. Never would they have thought, that one day, they would spend their lifetime together. Their love never fades away.

A few months later…

Lia was having a fansiging event as her novel 'Dear Dahlia' gotten so popular and she is one of the most popular authors in South Korea. Right after she got married to Dan, she decided to resign at Dan's father's company to focus more on her writing. Luck is on her side, right after she ended the last chapter of her novel, the novel got lots of reviews and her readers are enjoying the book and finally, got to published her book physically and meeting her readers.

"I heard that the novel is based on your own experience… is that true?" asked the interviewer.

"Yes. It is based on my own experience." Answered Lia.

"Before you published the book, as soon as you posted the last chapter, your ranking in the online platform just got skyrocketed. And to be honest, I read your novel too, and in quite curious as a reader about the last chapter, which the characters got married. May I ask if that scene is your own experience too?" asked the interviewer in curious and so do her other supporters who was sitting down below wanting to know about her answers.

"Did you got married in real life too?" added the interviewer.

"Well, as what I have said, the novel is based on my own experience. As far as everyone known Dahlia character is someone who's trying to reach her own goals and Dahlia is actually a character that portrayed me while Daniel character, portrayed my real life partner. The days when I wrote the novel is actually what had happened for real between us. The fight that we had, the happiness that we shared, including the marriage." Said Lia.

Then, she saw Dan was standing not too far from the audience looking at her with a smile on his face.

"Yes. We got married just like how the character did." Answered Lia with a smile while looking at her husband. The one that she loves the most. The crowd was cheering with her answers.

She was thankful with what she had. Her life goals?

She had found the career that she wants,

And most importantly,

She had found the love that she's been looking for.

"Seo Dan, My husband. Thank you for everything." Said Lia as she holds the star pendant that was hanging on her necklace.
