The humans' roars and cheers could be heard from miles away. They had seen their hero land a perfect, powerful strike on Shegar, and he had been sent flying backwards. Their hopes had shot through the roof.
But those cheers began to fade into the abyss as the humans saw the demon lord's aura still bright and strong through the dust.
As the dust settled, the cheers were completely gone. The humans saw Shegar standing perfectly before them, his wounds from Jasem's attack healed quickly and disappearing from his body as if they had never existed.
"Quite and calm, just how I like it," Shegar said, taking a deep breath. He smirked at the humans, who could not believe their eyes.
They thought the hero's strike was sure to make the demon lord at least struggle, but Shegar seemed to be brushing it off like he would do with a fly as he cracked his neck.
