After successfully freeing the women imprisoned in the dungeon and dealing with the remaining captors, Dean ensured the safety of the women by entrusting them to Carl. Carl, although reluctant to leave, understood the perilous journey ahead to the cursed grave of the giver of life, which made it too dangerous for the women to accompany them.

Staying at the castle posed its own dangers, as KAsin and his men could return at any moment, wreaking havoc upon anyone who dared to remain.

With only Lady Aethelwyn, still shackled, on the back of his horse, Dean bid farewell to Carl and the three shadows accompanying him. They set off towards the village to ensure the safety of the women they had rescued.

Some of these women had been taken from Atlan after the appearance of the demon lord on that fateful day. They had endured over two years of unimaginable hardships within these walls. Others had been captured during the raids on cities and villages that followed.
