He's Coming

Adam hurriedly returned to his palace, desperate to slip back inside without attracting any attention to his absence. With nimble agility, he leaped over the palace walls, only to be greeted by a flurry of guards and knights scurrying about in a state of disarray. Their frantic search for him, following his mysterious disappearance hours ago, weighed heavily on Adam's conscience.

Guilt gnawed at him as he contemplated revealing himself to his men, ready to face the consequences of his impulsive adventure. But a flicker of hesitation held him back, a recognition that their reaction would be severe if they discovered he had ventured out due to mere boredom.

"I suppose it's best to feign sleep in the crypt," Adam thought, his mind racing to find a plausible explanation. Swiftly, he skillfully avoided the gaze of his men, moving with stealth until he reached the rooftop of his palace.
