Chapter 9: Important Meeting

"Is it ready yet?" A deep monotonous voice resounded in the room.

"Almost, Monsieur."

"Alright, let's discuss the issues while we wait." Xerelt tapped his finger on the desk. The siblings were inside the HQ's conference room.

It has black tinted floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a black oval-shaped table surrounded by twelve seats, each with different emblems marked at the back. In the middle of the table showed holographic reports, from numerical datas to informations of people.

"I have gone through our monthly reports with my brother as well as the stocks, profits and expenditures this year. I, for one, haven't heard of anything from these three branches." Zylan swiped three times on the table and there popped up different datas.

"Not only that, the reports we have from them was dated 4 months ago. Feira, what's your analysis on this situation?" Xerelt leaned on his seat with his arms crossed.

A woman with fiery red hair stood up, "Well, Monsieur, we only found out about this just four weeks ago and according to the investigation we've done; there are moles in each branch."

"Tampered reports aside, Chef, there's also major depletion on the goods they've been receiving, and they exploit the very few profits they receive from those goods." A blonde beside her added casually, his two feet placed on the table.

The woman, Feira, pushed his feet off the table with a glare as she spoke, "And with further discussions on the matter, we suggest to discreetly assign some of our loyal men to dig further into the issue at hand. Yet it would be a problem if we accidentally alert them. So we ask for your approval or if you have any other suggestions, Messieurs et Madam , we are at your command."

Zylan responded with a hum and he turns to Xerelt, "What do you think, frère?"

Xerelt was quietly twirling his pen absentmindedly, "Since its not much of an issue. I suggest we assign this mission on our newly transferred member. I'm sure she won't mind a little entertainment, n'est-ce pas ma chère sœur?"

Naneel was quietly studying the holographic versions of the branches beside Zylan. She reluctantly move her gaze on the hologram to look at her brother.

Zylan let a quiet snort, "As we were saying, sœur. Would you assent on dealing with this conundrum that we discussed a few seconds ago?"

Naneel thought for a moment, 'If I were to agree, I'd have the liberty on excusing myself on trivial matters. And I'd have my much needed entertainment to avoid the tedious days for a while.'

After Naneel sorted out her thoughts she said, "I agree, Frères."

"That's settled then. Now, fix you postures everyone. We are to have a little conversation with our Madame." Xerelt snapped his fingers and the whole holograms started shift and materialize. The pixels shaped itself in to the upperhalf of a female body.

A few more seconds before familiar features suddenly greeted Naneel. Her mother's smiling face gave off the aura of elegance and superiority, yet also gentle and loving.

And as if on cue, the admins stood and greeted, "We give our salutations to the Mother, Papillon Bleu."

Papillon Bleu, the mother of the Alia Hierarchy. A ruthless being known throughout the underground business world. Merciless to those who defy and go against her. Both feared and respected. Those who survived her punishment said that she wore a mask resembling that of a butterfly's wings and underneath it is a menacing glow of obsidian orbs staring right through your very soul. Til this day, a single utter of her name would cause a shiver down anyone's spine.

A hearty chuckle reverberated through the room, "Well now, isn't this just lively."
