He is a Hobgoblin?

So notice, Toskr will be made rank 3, pseudo rank 4, an reach 5 atthe cost of life. Only the orcs of the orc kingdom can reach rank 5 as a normal rank.

THUMP.

The ground lightly shook. Dust rose from the ground out of nowhere. Whatever just made that noise is definitely bigger than the man that adam had to fight.

THUMP… THUMP… THUMP…

The rhythmic noise continued.

"Are those… footsteps?" The weakened Toskr looked around at the mist that was rising and now fading.

"I"

"I'm not sure what they are, but I doubt it's anything good." Adam muttered before drawing his sword of it's scabbard.

As a response to his preparation, every other orc else assumed their combat stances as well. The noise was coming from a single pathway and is getting louder by the second, the ground shaking somewhat furiously.

"Gruuuu…" A deep, monstrous groan came right out of the pathway the sounds were coming from.

From the darkness, a tall, muscular creature emerged.

"W-What is that?" Adam quickly darted my eyes from person to person.

"Oh… no…" Toskr muttered. He knew what that was, it's a rank 4 hobgoblin.

'The creature was wearing full leather armor. And from the looks of it, it's probably around two meters tall, if not a bit bigger. Though this creature doesn't have weapons in its hands, that only makes me more nervous. The creature looks similar to goblins from like videogames, but it is taller and generally more developed than any of the goblins I have previously seen.' Adam thought while he carefully assessed the new opponent.

Its skin is not green, but brown and it has fur on its arms and legs, similar to a monkey. Its mouth had visible tusks that protrude from the bottom jaw. Behind it, the goblin that escaped was standing with what appeared to be a smile on its face.

"That's a… Hobgoblin. That's impossible! he was supposed to be a regular human leader, given his position by the west demon king." Toskr answered.

"What's a "hobgoblin?" If it's just a goblin then we should be able to take it out right?!" Adam slowly shifted his weight downwards in preparation to strike at the now that he thinks that the Hob goblin's muscles and dominating looks are just for show.

"No… Hobgoblins spawn only when goblins have found a permanent home within their dungeons." Toskr began to say while shuffling backwards, only to fall. "Unlike regular goblins, Hobgoblins are both stronger and smarter. Hobgoblins are known to lead tribes of goblins in battles over territory. This is… This is really bad, Adam. A Hobgoblin could rival a rank 5 should it only be in plain physical strength, not to mention that they have minor magic resistance."

At those words, I could feel a cold sweat begin to come out of my body. If this thing is truly as strong as Toskr is saying it is, then we have no chance against it.

As if in response to my worries, the spear holding orc tapped my shoulder. "Guardian-sama, don't worry. Your the man chosen by god. Just use your almighty skill before the hobgoblin who has emerged. You can definitely defeat him!"

"Hm?" The hobgoblin turned its head to its right. Adam felt a chill down my spine as he watched it rush towards him.

"Grah!" The hobgoblin shouted as it kicked towards him and Toskr.

"Bweh!" Adam yelped. His body reappeared as the foot of the monster made contact with him. It doesn't look like Adam had planned to be attacked as he rolled and tumbled on the ground from the blow. Adam finally stopped when he collided with the wall, laying down limply.

"A- Adam!" Toskr yelled. He was only a rank 3 right now, if only he were uninjured, he might have saved the clan.

"Eheheh…" The hobgoblin chortled while watching the battered adam and the crying orc townsman.

The beast began to walk over to the now unconscious Adam. It seems as if the hobgoblin plans to finish him off then and there.

Without thinking, Toskr began to run towards the enemy.

'Why did I run towards him? Is it because of me trying to act kind?, Or perhaps it was because I couldn't stand to watch what would happen to my disciple. It is probably the same part of me that pushed me into accepting him as a disciple in the first place. Maybe it's because I had instinctually judged this as my only option to follow. Or maybe it's because he is a child and can change the orc's life forever' Toskr had a million such thoughts race in his head.

"Raaah!" Toskr shouted as he swung his cane down at the hobgoblin.
