The Attack
The army was set. Ryan had made sure that they covered the entire eastern border of Ambrosia as it was known to be the smallest. His army-in-chief, Brutus was ready to take on the under prepared, sleeping opponents.

Brutus was a fierce general. He had served Kingdom Amaranthus for half a decade and had sworn allegiance to the king. Every war that he fought, he was bound to win; Except the war of 1943. The King of Castillo had defeated his army and was about to behead him when Ryan had held his father's hand and said, "Father, he is one of the finest warriors that I have seen. Let him live and he shall teach me how to wage and win wars."
It was then that Brutus had decided that he would give away his heart and soul to this boy if he had to and training Ryan had begun.
Brutus owed Ryan his life and as the young prince grew into a responsible warrior, Brutus was prouder than even Ryan's own father.

It was two in the morning. Ariana was preparing her army because she knew that the opponents were sly and would attack with the first ray of sunshine. She knew that they had a lead and that the opponents were unaware of the fact that Ambrosia was aware of the impending danger. She closed her eyes and heaved a sigh of relief. Ether had said they were safe and she was rarely wrong.

The sun was about to rise and Ryan was prepared to attack. His night had been restless. It was the first time that he was feeling out-of-place before attacking.
Just as he managed to calm himself down, one of the soldiers came up to him and said, "I can't believe it's happening. We had covered the entire eastern border and yet now, as the sun is rising, the border keeps growing Sir. It's as if some magic had kept half of it hidden all our lives."
Ryan was confused. He said that they shouldn't pay attention to it and should focus on the war. They had the benefit of surprise and he wanted to make full use of it.
As they prepared themselves for the attack, Brutus saw an army of about ten thousand soldiers advancing towards them. The element of surprise that they were going to exploit was now going to be used against them. Ryan was deeply disturbed. There had to be a traitor among them who had disclosed their plans.
The chief of Ambrosia knew that Castillo had a stronger and bigger army. Also, Ryan was a powerful fighter and only the King of Ambrosia, who was in coma, could have defeated him. But he also knew that he had magic backing him up.
He said, "We appreciate the courage of your young Prince. Only someone as naive as him would have wanted to conquer our land. However, we're kind and so we give you a chance to reconsider your decision. If you wish to drop your weapons, your time is now."
Ryan smirked. "Attack"

As soon as the war began, inexplicable things started happening. The river that was otherwise calm had become horrendous. The tornado had swept away half the Castillian army. As soldiers battled each other on the field, they realised that Ambrosian soldiers had an unnatural strength. They were quicker than any human could be and stronger too. Ryan was baffled. He could not comprehend what was happening. This fear reflected in his attack and defense too. He was severely hurt by those soldiers who would, in any other circumstance, not even make him flinch.
Just as things were starting to get heated up, Brutus came from behind and hit Ryan's head with a rod. Ryan fell unconscious.

Ariana was upset about the fact that she couldn't fight on the battlefield inspite of the fact that she was as good as any other soldier, just because she was a female. It ate her from within. However, as her army returned victoriously, she didn't want to complain. She smiled at them and thanked each one of them for their help and support.
Just as she was about to leave and go to check up on her father, a horsemen came with a letter for her. He said that nobody should find out about the letter. As soon as Ariana took it, the soldier stabbed himself and died. Ariana was curious.
