KISS!

Lily was confused. Wearing Ray's jacket felt weird to her. They were not exactly friends, were they? So why did he give her his jacket? It was weird to wear other people's clothes—worse, his jacket. Yet, it was comforting for her to know that, at least, someone cared enough about her.

His action confused her. Why would he do such a thing? Should she doubt his intentions? Was there an ulterior motive? Who would have thought it possible? Who would have thought the mayor's troubled grandson was nice?

This was Ray, the freaking, Carter. He was being a Prince Charming to her, sort of. Not that Lily was a damsel in distress, needing a prince to save her day anyway. He was being nice and a decent human being, and she appreciated the small gesture.

She was cold, so a leather jacket was a huge help to keep her warm. Of all the things to forget, she forgot a jacket or a cardigan or presence of mind before going out on a cold November night.
