FRAM HILL DAY (Part 2)

Lily went to pick Jean up a little earlier than what was planned because Granny Violet literally pushed Lily out of the house door and told her granddaughter that she should not waste her time sulking and enjoy her day at the town fair.

It was Fram Hill Day after all!

Granny Violet advised Lily to forget about all things Bugle and school, even just for a little while.

"Okay. Okay. I'm going, Granny. No need to shoo me away. I'm going to now, so no burning the house down, alright?" Lily reminded her grandmother, "I love you," and kissed the older woman's left cheek.

Wearing her usual denim jacket, a pair of red flats, and her favorite yellow coat dress, Lily drove her car to Jean's house.

When she finally arrived, she greeted the entire Appleton family from the dad to the mom and to the beaming little brother. In turn, they welcomed her with open arms and familiar enthusiasm.

Jean would usually tease Lily that she was the third child.
