Chapter 25

It was the second time that Kenzo will sleep at Yara's house but it's quite different now because he was lying at the couch. He keeps on turning to find a comfortable spot to get his goodnight sleep but he failed. He deeply sighed and then decided to get up.

Yara opened her eyes and felt that she had a good sleep. She stretched her hand and stood up. When she went out, a delicious smell went directly to her nose.

"Mom, what's for breakfast? The smell is great." Yara said but was surprised seeing Kenzo was the one cooking.

"Morning!" Kenzo said with a smile.

"Morning, you can cook?" Yara asked.

"Yeah." Kenzo answered.

"What's that?" Yara asked walking towards the kitchen.

"That's a Banana Sour Cream Pancakes, that's Scrambled Eggs with Herbs, and this is Corned Beef Hash." Kenzo said.

"Wow! But, where did you got those ingredients?" Yara asked.

"I went out and luckily, there was a 24-hour convenient store nearby." Kenzo said.

"Here." Kenzo said while holding a spoon with the food he cooked. Yara opened her mouth.

"Hhhmmm, it's really tasty." Yara said and Kenzo smiled.

Emma woke up next and just the same with Yara's reaction, she was surprised that Kenzo prepared their breakfast.

"Thank you for cooking, Kenzo. I overslept and wasn't able to wake up early." Emma said apologetically.

"It's okay, Auntie. It's a piece of cake." Kenzo said smiling.

"I'll wake up Dream so we could eat together." Yara said and went in Dream's room.

"Sweety, wake up. Breakfast is ready." Yara said tapping Dream's shoulders.

"Sweety..." Yara said again. Dream slowly opened her eyes.

"Wake up, your dad cooked for us and it's really delicious." Yara said smiling.

"Okay..." Dream said lazily and rose up from bed. Yara furrowed her forehead.

"What's the matter? Are you sick?" Yara asked while touching Dream's forehead to check if she has a fever.

"I'm okay, Mom." Dream said and walked out first. Yara sighed because she knew the reason why her niece is acting like that.

"Morning, kitten." Kenzo said seeing her daughter.

"Morning, Dad." Dream said without any emotions on her voice. Kenzo creased his forehead and looked at Yara.

"Are you feeling sick, sweety?" Emma asked her granddaughter.

"I'm fine, Mooma." Dream answered that made Emma looked at Yara too. Yara only shrugged her shoulders. They ate silently. Emma is looking at Yara giving her signals to talk to her daughter but only shook her head for a NO answer.

"What's the problem, sweety?" Emma asked.

"Nothing, Mooma. I'm just not in the mood today." Dream said.

"And I know why." Yara said. Dream looked at her with teary eyes. Yara sighed.

"Look, Dream. I know you want to be with your dad and I agreed with it but staying with you and leaving Mooma here alone is not a good idea." Yara said that made Emma looked at her.

"What are you talking about?" Emma asked curiously. Kenzo cleared his throat.

"Auntie, it's like this. There was a vacant space just above our office and I'm planning to rent it and make it a home for us to stay. It will be convenient for Yara and Dream." Kenzo said.

"You mean the three of you will stay there?" Emma asked.

"It was my plan but Yara is against it." Kenzo said looking at Yara who's looking back at him with daggers in her eyes.

"Actually, there's something I want to talk about with you, Yara." Emma said that made Yara creased her forehead.

"Our helpers are complaining about the house they are renting. They asked if they could stay here. They will pay the rent, of course. I'm thinking about it and because you have opened the topic, I might agree with them." Emma said. Kenzo and Dream smiled brightly but Yara looked at her mom with pleading eyes.

"So, Mooma, you're telling that we can stay on Dad's place now?" Dream asked excitedly and when Emma nodded, she happily hugged her grandmother.

"But Mom, can they take care of you and the house, can they clean it? How about your meal? Can you trust them?" Yara said making Kenzo grinned.

"Yes, dear. They are all responsible and they considered me as their mother too so you have nothing to worry about. Besides, you can check on me everytime right, sweety?" Emma said talking to Dream.

"Of course, Mooma! I will visit you at the grocery and still, will help you every weekends." Dream said.

"Dad, when are we going to go to our new house?" Dream asked.

"I will talk to your Uncles to help me finish the house this week so by next week, we can already stay there." Kenzo said that made Dream clapped her hands. Yara deeply sighed.

"Why I do I feel that there was a connivance between the three of them?" She told to herself.

The four of them prepared themselves in going to work and school after their breakfast and their conversation wherein Yara felt that she was left in mid air by her own mother and niece. Emma went to her grocery. Kenzo, Yara, and Dream fetched Sky. Dream happily told Sky about the house thing and the latter became excited telling that they should have a house warming party in which Kenzo agreed. Yara kept her silence because she's thinking of what will happen to the three of them living in one house.

"I should make a list of the Do's and Dont's. We should share on our daily expenses. What else?" Yara said talking to herself. And because she was really in deep thought, she didn't notice that they were already at work.

"A penny for your thoughts?" Kenzo said that made Yara came back to her senses.

"What?" Yara asked and Kenzo smiled.

"What are you thinking? You didn't even said goodbye to the two girls." Kenzo said and Yara looked back.

"Where are they?" Yara asked and Kenzo laughed.

"They were already at school. They bid farewell to you a while ago but you didn't noticed them." Kenzo said that made Yara sighed.

"Do I really have to live with you, I mean, with you and Dream? We can stick with the weekend schedule if you want. I know it will be uncomfortable to you if I live there too." Yara said.

"No, it will not." Kenzo said that made Yara frowned.

"Come on, Yara, didn't you see Dream's happiness a while ago? Didn't you see the excitement all over her face? Yara, we're living under one roof for Dream. Can't you be more considerate of her feelings?" Kenzo said.

"Let's forget ourselves, let's do these for Dream, okay?" Kenzo continued. Yara sighed again.

"Okay, for you to have peace of mind, I will stay at the office, you and Dream stay on the house." Kenzo said and unlocked the door.

"Wait!" Yara said that made Kenzo smiled but hid it when he looked back at Yara.

"That's not what I meant." Yara said. Kenzo looked at him and Yara felt awkward.

"Tell me, what can I do for you to agree to live with me?" Kenzo said while looking intently at Yara.

"OMG, please don't look at me like that. I might just say yes without using my brain and my heart." Yara said to herself and looked away.

"There should be three bedrooms. One for you, one for Dream, and one for me." Yara said.

"Okay." Kenzo said.

"There should be two bathrooms. One for you and one for us." Yara said and she didn't notice Kenzo's disappointment.

"Okay." Kenzo said again.

"I will make a list of the Do's and the Dont's inside the house. I will let you read it and if there are things that you're against at, we can talk about it." Yara said and Kenzo nodded.

"And, we will share on our daily expenses." Yara said.

"Is that all?" Kenzo asked and Yara nodded.

"Okay, deal!" Kenzo said and offered a handshake to Yara.
