The two old couples decided to stay for dinner because Aria and Caden asked to. Aly was the one who cooked with Nanny Laura helping her. She cooked Vegan Pot Pie with Sage Sauce, Chicken Madras, and Honey Dijon Pork Tenderloin.
"Wow! Aly your cooking is excellent. Now, I know how you catch my son's aloof heart." Mistress Navarro said.
"Thank you, Auntie." Aly said blushing.
"She took care of daddy, she cooked delicious food for us, and she fetch us and fed us from school. That's why I like her to be my mommy and Harper too." Aria said proudly and the rest smiled.
"When Harper got blood from her undies, Auntie Aly took care of her." Aria continued.
Aly bow her head because she felt her face blushing. Brett looked at her and smiled brightly.
"Auntie?" Aria called.
Aly raised her head and looked at Aria.
"Yes, baby?" Aly answered.
"Can I call you mommy?" Aria said that made the rest grinned.
Aly choked on her food. She coughed continuously. Brett patted her back and gave her a glass of water. Aria became worried because she saw the redness on Aly's face because of coughing.
"I'm sorry, Auntie." Aria said apologetically.
"That's okay, Aria. Mommy Aly was a little surprised with your question but she will be okay." Mistress Andrada said smiling to the little girl.
Aria smiled happily hearing the word "Mommy Aly". Aly looked at her mom seriously but the latter smiled at her sweetly. Aly rolled her eyes.
"Thanks for the dinner, we'll be going so Brett can rest early." Mistress Navarro said.
"Take care, Ma, Pa." Brett said.
"By the way, Aly, can you come with Brett on Sunday. I'll not accept a NO for an answer." Mistress Navarro said.
"Okay, Auntie, I will." Aly said.
"Good girl." Mistress Navarro said smiling.
"Dad, Mom, call me when you get home." Aly said to her parents.
"Yes, dear. Think of what I told you a while ago, Aly." Mistress Andrada said.
"Yes, Mom, I'll think hard." Aly said and gave a peck on her parents.
"Can I call you Mamu too?" Aria said asking Mistress Andrada.
"Of course my dear." Mistress Andrada said.
"How about me?" Caden asked Mistress Navarro.
"Oh, you can call me granny and him grandpa." Mistress Navarro said pointing her husband who was busy talking with Brett and Mister Andrada.
"Yehey!" Aria and Caden spoke at once that the two grandmothers smiled.
The oldies bid their goodbyes. Nanny Laura had finished the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.
"Nanny Laura, you can take your off tomorrow and on Sunday. I'll be here so I'll be the one to cook and the kids...?" Aly didn't finished her sentence and looked at Aria and Caden who were looking at her too.
"They will be the one to clean." Aly said smiling. Caden and Aria dropped their jaws. Aly giggled while Brett was only looking at them smiling.
"Thank you, Ma'am!" Nanny Laura saluted Aly and they laughed.
Aly put Aria and Caden to bed. Brett had a headache so he went directly to his room after giving his good night kiss to the kids.
Aly took a shower and changed her clothes. She laid on her bed but remembered Brett's medicine so she got up and walked towards Brett's room.
"Brett?" Aly called. She got no answer so she opened the door and was startled seeing Brett going outside from the bath, only wearing his towel. Aly gulped and looked at Brett as if he's a specimen under observation. Brett smiled.
"Do you like the view?" Brett said. Aly blushed.
"I will just give your medicine but please do wear something. I'll be waiting outside. Call me when you're done." Aly said, without waiting Brett's response, she went out immediately. Brett shrugged his shoulders but wearing a devilish smile.
"Aly Andrada! What is happening to you? You already saw a man's body before and yet you're still drooling upon this one." Aly saying to herself.
"Be alert, be careful. Remember, you're not still a couple so put your guard on." Aly still talking to herself. She heard Brett's voice calling her. She sighed and entered the room.
Brett's scent was all over the room and it was intoxicating. Aly shook her head to bring herself back to her senses.
"Guard on, guard on." She whispered.
"What?" Brett asked hearing Aly's murmuring.
"Oh, nothing." Aly smiled that made Brett puzzled.
"Here's your medicine. If your fever will not fade tomorrow, we will go to the hospital." Aly said.
"I will be okay tomorrow. Rest and sleep and I will be fine." Brett said.
Aly smiled remembering what Brett's father told her. Brett cleared his throat.
"Why are you smiling?" Brett asked curiously.
"Why are you afraid of needle?" Aly asked. Brett rolled his eyes.
"A bullet is more painful than a needle. It's only a prick while a bullet will give you a hole." Aly said.
"It started when I was a little kid. I got sick and needed to be admitted in the hospital. The nurse can't find a good vein for my dextrose so he tried several times. The pain was really killing me. That's when I became afraid of needles." Brett said.
Aly nodded.
"You're a big boy now so you should not be afraid of it." Aly said smiling. Brett shrugged his shoulders.
Silence engulfed the whole room.
"Ehem..ahm...I think I should go to my room now. Sleep tight." Aly said and walked towards the door.
"Thank you." Brett said. Aly looked back and smiled.
"You're welcome. Good night, Brett." Aly said and went out of the room.
Brett was left on his room.
"How can I take away your fear? How can I make you to trust me?" Brett asked himself. He sighed and laid on bed.
Aly, instead of going to her room, decided to go to the kitchen to make coffee. She was thinking of what her mother told her.
"Am I really ready to take the risk? Is he really the one?" Aly sighed. She was startled when her phone rang but later smiled seeing who's calling her.
"Hello, my sweet." Aly said.
"Hi, Auntie! Is daddy okay now?" Harper asked.
"Yes, he is. He's already in his room, sleeping." Aly said.
"That's great. I will be at peace now." Harper said that made Aly smiled.
"Auntie, I'm only allowed to make this call because I said that my dad was sick. I'll see you on Sunday. Bye, Auntie, thank you!" Harper said and ended the call. Aly smiled and put down the phone on the table.
"Who called?" Brett said that made Aly screamed and the coffee was splashed on her hands.
"Careful!" Brett said and ran towards Aly. He saw the redness on Aly's hands so he pulled Aly on the sink and open the faucet to rinse her hands.
"Feel better?" Brett asked. Aly nodded.
"Am I a ghost that you screamed like that?" Brett asked shaking his head but smiling. He was drying Aly's hands with a clean towel.
"I thought you're already asleep. I didn't noticed that your already here. So when you talked, I got scared." Aly said explaining.
"Who called you?" Brett asked while making coffee for both of them.
"It was Harper. She's checking on you." Aly replied. Brett nodded.
They're sitting side by side while sipping their coffee.
"You're coffee is good. "Aly said smiling.
"It's the only thing I can be proud of." Brett said.
Brett looked at Aly's hands.
"We should put a burn ointment on your hands." Brett said.
"It's okay, nothing to worry about." Aly said smiling.
"Aly?" Brett said.
"Hhhmm..." Aly's response because she was sipping her coffee. She looked at Brett when she didn't hear any words from him after calling her name. She was alarmed when Brett's face was an inch away from her face. She avoided Brett but the latter hold her face. Without any hesitation, he kissed her.

Lesson from quotes (source unknown)
The eyes whisper I LOVE YOU dear. The lips moves, no words appear. When your love is true, sincere, and real, what the lips hid, the eyes reveal.
Sometimes, we get confused with which to follow, the heart or mind. They say the heart is poor in making decisions but the heart do have reasons that even the mind can't dare to explain.
Sometimes we don't realize the importance of a person until we wake up one morning without them by our side finding out what we've already lost.
When love has flown, don't go chasing after it. You might get hurt again. When it comes back or even more, maybe another heart loves you, just waiting for a chance.
The best teacher is time when the best subject is love.
