The rest of the day went on smoothly except for the annoying vibration with Morgan around me. Morgan got the tour she was expecting from me and also the grade’s timetable. The day finally came to an end and I was pleased to be separated from Morgan. Just when I thought I had had enough craziness for the day, I saw Jake and Amy talking quietly in the car park, they didn’t hear me quietly walking towards them, I did plan to sneak up on them, but it would be nice to know what today was all about, especially without giving myself away. Once I got close enough to hear them, the strangest thing happened. A crystal like force field appeared in form of a circle and they worked straight into it and vanished together with the crystal force field….
What just happened! What did I just see!
I blinked rapidly in shock and looked around to see if anyone had noticed, but the car park was deserted, just a few kids hanging around.
“It can’t be!” I said to myself on the walk home. Trying to comprehend what I just witnessed in addition to all the craziness that has been going on in my life lately seemed like fixing a jigsaw puzzle with a blindfold on. “I’m I a genetic freak?” I wondered, “…a result of some stupid government experiment!” I had no idea that a huge anxiety was building up in me until it happened, suddenly all the bulbs, glasses, windows and all forms of glasslike materials around a 1 mile radius of where I stood exploded and shattered. I didn’t realize my heart was racing intensively like I was scared or about to have a panic attack, I didn’t need a wizard to tell me that this was my doing, I knew without a shred of doubt in me, that this was all on me, even though I had no idea how I came about doing it. What did I just do? I whispered to myself doing a slow replay in my head, seeing the traffic lights bulbs, street lights bulbs, head lights bulbs all going “KABUM!” at the same time, leaving shards of glass everywhere. There was panic now, panic and confusion all around me, cars ran into each other, some people sustained injuries from the blasts and were running to safety. The sight of this was too awful to witness, bearing the fact that I somehow made this happen. I froze in my position telling myself the lie of the century that I wasn’t the cause of all this and that there was another explanation to this, but I couldn’t find any. I hastened my pace wishing I would just get home in an instant, just before I could finish my thought, a flash of the same crystal force field that I saw with Jake and Amy earlier appeared right in just an inch away from me. It drew me in like a warm hole and the next thing I saw was me in front of my house. I raced through the front doors not minding if anyone was home or not, I got into my room, shutting the door behind me and ejecting myself from my clothes, rushing into the bathroom and surrendering myself to the mercy of the shower.
It took me forever to get out of the shower, when I eventually did, I felt this calmness and within me that I didn’t know when I fell into a deep sleep.
“….And it remains our tradition to protect ourselves as Celestians, and protect the mortal realm from untold darkness. While doing this remember to always be on the lookout for arc hunters as they are nothing but mere distractive agents aimed at throwing us off our goal…..”
I’m hiding in the gallery of a building, which seemed to be made of pure diamond, gold and silver, glittering in the light of the chandelier, watching the man below me addressing a crowd all dressed in shiny hoods of different colors including the man addressing them. They all looked spectacular and unique, the hoods seemed to be made of slick and fine lining material, and the hem of their hoods were made of gold. I could easily identify the respective ranks from the colors and sophisticated nature of the outfits. I can’t seem to understand how I got here or why I was hiding. As the man continued his address, I made a move to leave but as I rose up, a bulb from one of the chandeliers close to me blew and at this everyone looked up to my direction and sadly for me, I was in full view of everyone. “Bring him to me,” the man addressing the crowd ordered. Hearing this, I take to my heels, running as fast as I can, but something feels so out of place, it’s like someone else is controlling my body. With no clear path to take, I jump through the glass window, falling from what looks like a five feet drop, seeing nothing but the forest beneath me. The loud noise behind me instinctively made me aware that my pursuers were still on my tail. I landed in the woods with ease and continued racing away, I stopped for a moment to get my bearing and I could see them clearly, holding several objects I assumed to weapons. The moment one of them spotted me a mile away, he pointed staff like object towards and “Boom!” I only had a nanosecond to react and the energy ray that shot out of the staff missed me by an inch. I took off again, going deeper into the woods, running as fast as I could manage.
The chase goes on for a while with me jumping over broken branches and fallen trees, dodging energy blasts and doing different shunts that I have never imagined myself doing in my lifetime. I suddenly stop running and hide for reason on known to me as I still wasn’t in control of my body. I waited for them to close in on me before I leaped out like a wolf knocking the first two that closed in on me. I felt a trickle of energy flow to my hands, it felt cold and looked like water at first then shimmered in a second and what rested in the palms of my hands were 100% solid ring daggers, that felt perfectly balanced. Without lingering I launched forward as the rest of them came into view, I didn’t intend to, but I saw the daggers flying out of my hands going straight to their respective targets without missing anyone. I continued to them with my ring daggers enjoying the pleasure of seeing them fall in pain. Of cause I didn’t kill them I just simply ensured that they couldn’t come after me at the moment. I heard more footsteps coming in my direction, but just as I turned to run again, a huge furnace of fire formed a large circle around me, completely trapping me in. I was expecting my heart to race in panic, but rather it maintained a steady rhythm. When the fire reduced to my knee level I totally surrounded, they all stood with their aims stretched out towards me. They all had their hoods on, watching me carefully as a hunter would watch a lion or wolf.
“Who are you?” The question came from the figure breaking formation, as he walked towards me, stopping a few inches from the fire. Meeting his gaze with absolute silence, his eye glowed, “answer me this instant or I will introduce you to a fate worse than death.”
I could without doubt feel his radiating anger with only just amused me. “Empty threats and parlor tricks, I expected more, so much more.” I met his gaze with a smirk, and then took a walk around the circle keeping my eyes on them. “But now I'm just disappointed,” I saw his fist tighten and I knew what came next.
He launched forward in a second and out of me came a bright piercing light with a force that quenched the fire and sent them all flying backwards, hitting the trees and broken branches. I closed my eyes satisfied with myself.
