Chapter 16: Talk Of The Past And Present

The first thing that clung to me as we stepped out of the force field was the soothing evening breeze that flooded my face. We appeared to be in a large balcony that faced the silver lakes and high mountains, from here I could see the sun setting slowly with its last light of the day barely visible now. The dark blue sky seemed to be eager to take its place as it seemed to rapidly chase away the last glimmer of day light from the sky.

“It never gets old!” Her voice drew me back to reality. I was already beginning to forget that she was standing there with me but I certainly didn’t catch a single word she just said. “Sorry could you say that again?” I kept my eyes on hers now, hoping I don’t make a fool of myself by missing what she says again.
