37. House Of Cards

Alizeh's POV

This is happening for real!

There is nothing in the world that can give you more pain than seeing your hard-earned dream collapsing like a house of cards.

After the announcement part gets done, I went to Mr. O'Neil's cabin.

"I can understand your angst Miss Alizeh. All I want to tell you is I'm extremely glad you are part of my firm"

He said calmly while sitting on his chair in his cabin. The same cabin he has taken for granted.

"I have been expecting an opposite Mr. O'Neil. You told me to be ready for the raise during the conference trip"

I couldn't help but feel upset about his decisions. I deserve better. I want the fruitful results of my hard work too.

He spared a glance at him. His face is still blank. With a sigh, he started talking,

"I tried to come to the point and I thought about it again. Well, listen. I think you still lack the skills to be a Financial advisor. "

What in the hell...

I lack the skills?

His words raised my anger.
