Preparations and trip to the capital, Westernfield

After many years, Nazo and Cyra finally met yesterday. Perros helped Nazo rescue his sister, who was being held in the basement.

Morning came. The wind had blown Perros' hat off. He slowly opened his eyes, stood up and picked it up.

"Alright everyone, let's get ready for our trip to Mori!" Perros said sleepy, but cheerfully.

Nazo was already up and preparing food, but Cyra was still asleep.

"Let her sleep a little longer. She needs it..." Nazo said while preparing breakfast.

"And don't think that I'm going to prepare food for you every day. I'm doing it for Cyra, but you can have some too..." He added, looking at Cyra.

"Yeah... Thanks." Perros stretched.

"So Perros... what are you planning to do now?" Nazo asked, still preparing breakfast.

"We have to get you a horse. Delgado won't get that far with three people on his back." Perros glaced at Delgado.

"And maybe some more food..." He looked at the food Nazo was preparing, and his mouth watered.

"They don't have any stables in this town. I would have noticed that when I was looking around earlier..." Nazo said and put the food down.

"So the closest ones are...?" Perros mused.

"In Westernfield... the main town of this territory." Nazo said slowly.

"Is it far?" Perros asked.

"Well, about 4-5 days from here..." Nazo thought.

"THAT MUCH?!" Perros was surprised.

"What do you expect? That it's 30 minutes from here?" Nazo said sarcastically.

"Yeah, it could be..." Perros replied.

Nazo rolled his eyes and went back to preparing breakfast.

After few hours even Cyra woke up. Rubbing her eyes, she stood up and immediately noticed the food Nazo had prepared.

"Mmm... something smells good." Cyra smiled.

"Don't try to flatter me, I'm not good at preparing food." Nazo reheated the food on the fire.

Cyra laughed. She looked around, but didn't see Perros anywhere.

"Where's the guy with the white hat?" Cyra mused as she reached for the food Nazo had prepared.

"Oh, you mean Perros... he went into town to get some supplies." Nazo explained.

"So his name is... Perros." Cyra said.

Meanwhile, in the town of Bucle. Perros was looking around for some food.

"*augh*, there's no..." After a few minutes of searching, Perros became angry.

"Oh... there it is." Perros spotted a market on the street to his left and went to look.

That street was so crowdy like Perros have never seen before. The street was filled with a smell of good food. The adults and even the children looked very happy.

"I like this place." Perros thought to himself and went into the crowd.

He walked around for a bit, taking note of what each stall had to offer.

"Maybe some fruit would be good... of course, I mustn't forget the meat." Perros mused, and his mouth watered.

He walked over to the fruit stand and looked around.

"Are you interested in anything, sir?" The vendor asked.

"How much do you want for a kilo of apples?" Perros asked.

"50 minies, sir." The vendor replied.

"I'll take 2 k...." Perros was cut off by someone shouting.

"HELP... HE TOOK MY PURSE!" An elderly woman shouted.

"2 kilos. I'll come back for them." Perros handed the vendor 100 minies and went after the mugger.

"Hey, stop!" He shouted on the mugger.

"Oh crap, it's the lawman." The mugger said as he was running away from Perros.

"I'M NOT A LAWMAN!" Perros shouted back and began to speed up rapidly.

"No... no... no..." The mugger shouted.

"Stop you rat!" Perros shouted.

"Never!" The mugger turned his head back.

Perros slowed down a bit.

"Haha!" The mugger laughed, but he didn't notice a cart slowly crossing the street and charged right into it.

Perros slowly reached the mugger and took the purse from him.

"Two birds with one stone." He laughed and looked at the cart, which was full of meat.

Perros bought some meat and went back to the older lady to return her purse.

"Thank you, dear." The woman said in a hoarse voice.

"Don't metion it..." Perros smiled and went back to the fruit stand.

It wasn't long before he returned to the fruit stand.

"Oh, you came back..." The vendor said, handing him the apples.

"And this for helping the old lady." He added, smiled and handed him back the money.

"You don't have to..." Perros said and looked at the money.

"No, it's okay... she's kind of a relative of mine." The vendor said and laughed.

"Then... thank you very much." Perros thanked, took the apples, and moved on.

It was getting darker and cooler. But Perros still needed to buy water.

He quickly searched the market yet again. To his amazement, he found it at the end of the street.

"Got it!" Perros thought to himself and headed back to Nazo and Cyra.

On his way back he was thinking about how are they going to travel with this much food.

"We should find or maybe buy a horse wagon... no, definitely find one, I'm not going to buy something that expensive." Perros mused.

On his way back, he came across an abandoned horse wagon next to a lone saloon.

"Oh, here's one." Perros said in amazement.

He whistled, and Delgado was on him in a moment.

"Come here, boy." Perros petted Delgado and hitched him behind the wagon.

"Let's go!" He shouted, spurring Delgado on.

A bald man came running out of the salon. He certainly wasn't sober.

"That's my wagon... give it back, you thief!" The man ran after Perros, but tripped and rolled down the stairs.

Perros laughed so hard he almost fell off the car himself.

Nazo and Cyra waited for Perros' arrival. But when Nazo looked towards the town, he saw a huge cloud of dust coming towards them.

"I hope those aren't lawmen..." Nazo said uncertainly.

But somewhere in the distance he could hear their names shouted.

"Nazo... Cyra...!" It echoed from the way to the huge cloud of dust.

"Is that..." Nazo was annoyed.

"...Perros?" Cyra said unsure.

"Everyone, I'm back... and I have the supplies!" Perros shouted from a distance.

"But what is he riding?" Cyra thought.

It didn't take a while and Perros got to Nazo and Cyra.

"I'm back!" Perros smiled.

"Wow, that's a lot of food..." Nazo was impressed.

"Yeah, it is. And where did you get that wagon?" Cyra asked.

"I found it next to a local saloon..." Perros said flatly.

"So you STOLE IT?" They both asked him in disbelief.

"No, no, no... I just borrowed it for an unspecified period of time, that's all." Perros proudly explained.

"So you stole it..." Nazo and Cyra weren't surprised.

After Perros explained what had happened, they all got on the wagon and were ready to head to Westernfield.

Few hours and many sentances later, Perros asked Nazo.

"Nazo, do you know how to drive a wagon?" He asked curiously.

"Well, I can try..." Nazo replied unsurely.

"Just hold this and this." Perros explained.

"See... it's easy. Now try to get Delgado to go faster, and then make a circle." He added.

"Alright..." Nazo did as Perros explained.

"Speed up and then... and then turn around." Nazo thought to himself.

"Very good. Now just stay on course for Westernfield. I'm going to take a nap... wake me when you feel drowsy." Perros said and jumped back, instantly falling asleep.

Nazo sighed and began to refocus on driving. After a while, he felt like he'd been a cowboy all his life.

"Man, I could get used to this." Nazo said contentedly.

"I'm glad you like it..." Cyra said softly.

"Yeah, I don't have to worry about anything, just getting you home now..." Nazo replied.

The sun started to came up. Nazo almost fell asleep driving.

"Well, I'm thankful you let me sleep and you drove the whole time, but now you need to take a nap." Perros said and pulled Nazo into the back of the wagon, getting into the driver's seat himself.

Nazo slept like a baby until they stopped for lunch. Nazo once again prepared a basic lunch, and then they continued on. They were halfway through.

"You know, it gets pretty cold at night..." Perros chattered his teeth.

" And what do you want? Do you think someone will suddenly appear and give us extra clothes?" Nazo said sarcastically.

From afar they heard the sound of horseshoes. And someone shouting.

"HEY! STOP!" The mysterious person shouted.

"Maybe he wants to help..." Perros slowly stopped.

The man wasn't alone, and he didn't need help. They were bandits trying to rob them. Perros knew that if they tried to escape, they would start shooting.

"Give us everything you've got!" Their leader shouted and aimed his gun on Perros.

"That's not what I meant when I said extra clothes, but whatever..." Nazo mumbled and jumped out of the wagon.

Perros also got off the wagon, only Cyra was still lying there, no one could see her.

"What if we say no?" Perros asked.

"Then we'll kill you and take it ourselves." The leader laughed.

"Am I right boys?" He added, but no respond came.

He looked behind him and saw his henchmen lying unconscious on the ground.

"W-What did you do?" The leader said with a shaky voice.

"Nothing..." Nazo said next to him.

The leader screamed in fear and ran away.

"Don't forget your henchmen. Come back for them later!" Perros shouted at him.

"So... now we got extra clothes." He added and laughed.

Perros and Nazo stripped them of their clothes. They took everything they had and loaded it on the wagon.

"Now, we even got extra clothing..." Perros was satisfied.

They were only half a day away from the capital. With extra clothes, more food to eat, and a goal in their minds... Mori. But now their next stop is Westernfield, the capital of Dorai territory.
