The real challenge begins - Perros's power up

Rosa was looking directly into Perros' eyes. Putting on a devilish smile, she instantly moved to where she stood before. This time Roza was quicker than before, Perros couldn't keep up with her.

"Can't keep up?" Roza's voice echoed through the room.

Perros' smile grew shorter. He concentrated hard, but even so, Perros was unable to predict nor pinpoint her location.

"Out of breath?" Perros said, as he saw Rosa where she had been standing before, but as he finished, something hit him from his left side.

"What? I though she stopped..." Perros thought to himself and looked around with his eyes.

Right after his quick thought, two of her clones emerged from behind the columns.

"You seem to be the one who's out of something." Rozas spoke at once.

One blow from the left, one from the right, but one Roza was slowly approaching towards him. Until she got to Perros, he was getting hit left and right. As much as Perros wanted to avoid the attacks, he wasn't fast enough.

"Don't tell me this is the end... I can't do anything..." Perros thought to himself as he took the blows.

Roza was getting closer and closer as Perros kept getting battered.

"He's getting his ass kicked... I gotta do something." Esco mumbled worriedly.

Esco tried to move in closer, but Roza's clone pushed him far back.

"Hell... Even I can't do anything." Esco said as he stood up.

"We're done for..." He added.

Rosa stood just in front of Perros, who was standing in weak knees. She looked Perros directly in the eyes one last time.

"I thought... you were the chosen one." Roza said disappointedly.

"At least you weren't SO fragile..." She added.

Roza was about to throw the one last punch.

When she swung her fist at Perros' face and almost hitting him, it happened.

A flash went through Perros' mind. When he focused his eyes on Rosa in front of him. Perros knew exactly that this was his moment to shine. Everything began to move at a much slower pace, at which point Perros loaded his gun and fired. The shot connected, Roza got hit in her arm.

"H-How did you do that?" Roza asked intimidated as she held her wound.

"Like I'd tell you." Perros said wearily.

"And I don't even know how to explain it." He added.

"That means you don't know how to use it... perfect." Roza smiled and her clones disappeared.

The wind in the area started blowing faster and faster. After a moment Perros wasn't almost able to stand on his feet.

"This is your element, huh?" Perros asked.

"So how do I awake mine?" He added.

"It usually awakes when the user is exposed to another element." Roza explained.

"In a fight of course." She added.

There was a moment of silence before Roza spoke again.

"But I don't think that's going to happen in this battle." Roza said and the wind strengthened even more.

"Don't underestimate me." Perros grinned.

"Perros!" Esco shouted while running towards him.

"What? Something wrong?" Perros responded.

"I can predict where she will come from." Esco explained as he climbed on top of Perros.

"How?" Perros asked.

"Ehm..." Esco sounded and pointed at his nose.

"Ohh... right." Perros realized.

"Look out!" Esco shouted.

"Left... Right... Right again." He started navigating Perros.

Roza stood exhausted in front of Perros and Esco.

"I have to get rid of that pet of his." Roza muttered to herself and a clone of her appeared.

"Her clone appeared again." Perros said.

"I can see that..." Esco said.

"*Sniff* *Sniff* The real is in the middle." He added and pointed at Roza.

"But you still have to watch---" Esco was interrupted by Roza's attacks.

"Right... Middle... LEFT!" Esco was guiding Perros, but didn't noticed one Roza going behind them.

"Left... Left... Mid---" Esco was snatched by Roza's clone.

"I couldn't sense her because she isn't the real Rosa..." Esco muttered angrily.

"Esco!" Perros turned around and shouted.

"No more sniffing." Roza punched Esco unconscious with her fist and threw him into a corner.

Perros's positive attitude faded away. He looked at Esco lying in the corner and back at Roza.

"Don't drag him into this." Perros's face turned serious.

"Oh, you're worried about your friend?" Roza nudged him.

Perros looked angrier than ever.

"You can fight me..." Perros said and the wind calmed down.

"But DO NOT drag my friends into this." He added, and the wind turned against Rosa with twice the force.

"What's with this wind's strength..." Roza seemed surprised.

--- Back on surface ---

"Koon?!" Nazo and Bruno exclaimed in surprise.

"Aren't you supposed to be big and scary?" Bruno asked.

"And not be in a wheelchair..." He added.

"HEY! Watch your mouth before I shut it." Koon replied sharply

"Let me guess, Roza works with you." Nazo said and took a battle stance.

"You're a sharp kid." Koon replied.

Bruno sat down on the floor in exhaustion.

"I can't anymore... If you are going to kill us, do it quickly." Bruno said and closed his eyes.

Koon laughed and rode out into the street.

"Why would I kill something that's harmless to me?" Koon grinned.

Bruno opened his eyes and slowly stood up.

"What do you want then? Where is Perros?" Nazo asked.

"Hold your horses kid..." Koon said and turned his head towards the temple.

"It's coming." He muttered and a strong gust of wind came out of the temple.

The wind was so strong everything started flying away.

"That's Roza's doing?" Nazo asked as he held down Koon's wheelchair.

"No, that's not her wind..." Koon said.

"That must be your friend." He smiled.

"Perros can do that?" They were both surprised.

"I'll tell you about it when the wind calms down." Koon replied.

--- Back in the temple ---

Perros closed his eyes, and after a moment, lightning began to surround him. As soon as he opened his eyes, they seemed to turn electric, and his whole body emitted lightning.

"This was just a test alright!" Roza exclaimed whilst standing before Perros.

"You passed!" She added desperately.

But Perros ignored her. In an instant, he drew his gun, and as he loaded it, lighting began to emit from the gun as well. And the wind was still blowing so hard that all Roza could do was fly away or face Perros.

As Perros pulled the trigger, a massive bolt of lighting struck the temple. And at the same time, Perros fired. The bullet was followed by beams of lighting that touched the room as the bullet flew. And its speed was increased even more by the direction of the wind.

Roza thought that was the end of her. She was unable to follow the bullet with her eyes.

"Don't!" Esco shouted in a weak voice.

Perros' luminous eyes disappeared and with them the lighting. The bullet slowed a little, luckily this miracle was a life saver for Rosa. Since Perros doesn't use sharp bullets, she remained unconscious.

After that, the wind calmed down and Perros fell to the ground. He also lost his consciousness.

"Perros..." Esco spoke and closed his eyes again.
