You are?

The four-person squad had mixed emotions as the smiling chief's son approached their group. On one hand, those pesky little Felynes ran away in fright because of this man.....on the other hand, they knew what the man was holding..... which was a small piece of the Royal Ludroth's "crown".

They each sucked in a cold breath of air because, not too long ago, they saw the beast from a distance with their monoculars. It was terrifyingly fierce, moreover, the chief's son was alone...

It didn't sit well with the squad, knowing the dichotomy between both their four-person group and the lone Chief's Son.

....

I approached the squad leisurely and when I reached a short distance away, I wrapped the piece of flesh back up and stowed it in my pack. I watched their facial expressions go from surprise to thankfulness, to incredulity...all within the span of seconds.

It didn't take a genius to understand their thoughts...

"Well?.... You guys alright?..." I asked, prompting them to regain their senses and the lead female hunter to step forward.

"Thank you for helping us....your name is Tracha, right? The second son of the Moga Chief?..." the lady asked me, to which I simply nodded and smiled.

"I was heading towards the cave system to do some mining but I happened upon your party, are you guys heading back to the village to turn in a quest?..."

They each shook their head in dejection...."no, we have been hunting a herd of Ludroth that have been spotted too near the village for comfort. They have been causing problems for the fisherman as well... We took the task of killing them but, we've yet to track them down..."

I pondered for half a second before realization dawned on me, I think their target has already been killed by that great-monster battle..."Well, there is no easy way to say this but, I think the herd has been taken out. About a day's travel towards the village, I came across a Great Jaggi and Royal Ludroth fighting it out with their herds as backup...it ended with all dead except for a severely wounded Great Jaggi..."

.....

The squad watched as the chief's son spoke, with every word that came out of his mouth, they became more and more depressed...they had just gotten to the place where they were comfortable enough in this new world to take on a kill-quest and it turned out to be like this...

They watched as Tracha ended his explanation by looking off into the distance as if picturing the marvelous battle he just described...

.......

'This guy is a little too eccentric...' I thought, looking at Tracha the Chief's son. This village was rural, and after transmigration, it took time to adapt to their culture and mannerisms even after inheriting memories....this experience was the same for my new guild members.

The people of this village are tough, hard-working, headstrong people....the Moga chief and his eldest son junior (who maintains the village logistics) both have your typical native temperament but this guy.....' yes, this guy seems out of place...'

Chastain thought skeptically while eyeing this chief's son suspiciously...

.......

Chastain Grey was an intelligent woman before Raven Oscars created his multiverse and that intelligence and wit was been honed through various lifetimes...battles, wars, schemes, and people of all kinds...she has developed a keen intuition, and everything within told her that this guy, like her three squad-mates, was a Traveler who recently entered into Monster Hunters World just like them...

To confirm, she probed gently without crossing the lines of the confidentiality agreement, the last thing she wanted was to be removed from MH or worse, punished for breach of the contract.

"Excuse me Tracha, do you mind if I ask you a personal question?..."

Tracha shook himself out of his daydream and glanced at the pretty lady in front of him with a smile before replying...

"Please do..."

"Great! Do you, perchance, have a different name other than Tracha? A less.......tribal name perhaps?..." this could be seen as blatant to many, but Travelers didn't mind conveying their status to one another usually. So, she thought that if Tracha was one, he would respond with an affirmation with such an obvious inquiry.

A playful glint flashed in the corner of Tracha's eyes that went unnoticed by the observing woman, the silence only lasted a second before the response came...

"Another name?.... Oh, you mean like my older brother's other name Junior? No, I wasn't given another name..." he responded simply and with firmness while keeping the jovial and leisurely expression on his face...

Chastain's gaze stayed on the man who seemed unbothered by her scrutiny, she had no reason other than intuition to expect Tracha of being anything other than.....well, the chief's son and she knew that they had a mission to report as being "unable to complete".

But, for some reason, the response given by Tracha irked her...she felt like she was being played....but had no proof.

"Well, I wish you, fine people, a great day! Watch out for those Felynes, pesky little guys..." said Tracha as he walked away confidently towards the cave. Before walking out of sight, he turned his head to look back at the only hunter of the four still paying attention to him and sent a playful wink in her direction before disappearing...

'Was he flirting with me?...or was that his signal that he was being playful with his answers?... I'm actually confused..' thought Chastain as she heard her squad calling for her to get moving back to the village....they had a long way to travel.
