The Functionally Broken Compass

Raven watched on with the high-level Seraphs as the battle ended.....'hmm, so the Caster, Berserker, and Assasin are out of the running. Only Timothy and Ban remain from their teams....how exciting...'

A smile bloomed on his lips as fights like these are the reason he continues to allow such freedom in his cities....life and death, even if not truly on the line, are the perfect toys to play with if thrill is what you're looking for, and the old otaku learned this very early on.

While things settle down in the waters below Altissia, in Dome City, two individuals are close to their goal...

.....

"Quickly wench, I can smell our goal!..." the pirate currently being carried by an irritated woman said while smiling and holding what the woman now assumed to be an absolutely busted compass.

"That smell is not our goal, but your foul body odor.....god, why do you always smell like alcohol?..." Chastain has been traveling for half a day already with many breaks for the pirate to stretch his legs. Dome City is very large with many obstacles and fellow Travelers to avoid, so getting to where the compass is pointing turned out to be much more of a chore than anticipated.

After stopping for yet another break, Chastain approached her "ally" with a tickmark visible on her forehead, lashing out in anger..." you are absolutely the worst pirate I've ever heard of...."

Jack Sparrow turned sharply on his heel before taking a pose, his right hand covering half of his face while he said his favorite catchphrase..." ahh, but you have still heard of me...but never mind that, we're close as the compass is changing direction qui-"

*woosh*

Without even looking up, Jack flipped open the pocket watch that he has been holding for the past few minutes....and just like that, time slowed while everything in the vicinity ground to a halt.

Jack first looked at his summoner, she had a swarm of beetles flying out from a gourd on her back while she removed a kunai from her pouch. He then turned to the object that was making the "wooshing" sound, and suspended a couple of meters away from his head was an arrow that glowed with enchantment...

*scoff*

"An arrow? What a barbarian... reminds me of that blasted island tribe that I defeated single-handled before sailing away triumphantly on a raft made of the bodies of my foes..."

After lying to himself, Jack began to trace the arrow's trajectory to a rooftop far away, on which stood an individual he couldn't make out...

Jack took out his trusty spyglass and extended the tool, using it to focus on his assailant, he saw the attacker...he was dressed in yellow rags made of old leather and fur. He wore a cap that hid his expression, but from beneath the hat white hair poked out...

"Bloody h#LL, it's a pre-pubescent child. I guess this is one of "those moments" In which one's character is tested, and a man must do the right thing...the right thing being to give the child a pass...I should let him off with a second chance..."

Jack put his spyglass away before running to the arrow, plucking it out of its suspension, and running back to his original position...."I love 'those types of moments', I like to wave at them as they pass me by..."

*snap*

The pocket watch closed with a snap and time began to move again, in the view of both the Archer and Chastain, Jack caught an arrow out of the air like a b@d@ss..." the slimy jib is atop that roof, an assassin child by the looks of it, extremely deadly....take him out with haste!"

The shameless pirate watched as his summoner exploded into a swarm of insects that quickly chased after the fleeing archer.....he felt no shame as the right thing was done today.

Before his contended smile could settle in, the glowing arrow he was holding caught fire.....arrow enchantments are something that he had no idea existed in the realm of gods.

"....aaaaahhhhhhAHHHHHHH!!"

The flames ran up his clothing and began to cause damage.....he rolled on the ground trying to put out the fire, not understanding that simply jumping into the ocean nearby would do the trick.
