Why are we here?

Lisa's POV

The next morning I woke up with a contented smile. There was this sweet feeling I had inside of me. Something I haven't experienced before and I loved it.

My nightmares seems to have stopped. I've had a rather comfortable night these days. But still I needed to meet Sarah today I still haven't forgotten my encounter with the vampire.

The thought of it brought shivers to my spine. Shrugging off the ill thought,I pulled the covers off my body and hummed my way to the kitchen. Ann stood there chopping some cilantro.

"Hey when did you get back?" I asked.

She turned to me and smiled." Not quite long. Didn't want to wake you."

"Could have said something." I said taking a bottled water from the fridge.

"You looked so pretty and kept smiling while you slept. Didn't want to disturb."

I beamed. "Oh yeah I did.. I feel this natural relief, happiness within me."

"Hmm.. it's Damien alright."

I blushed." No it's not.. it must be something else."

She shook her head." Don't lie to me Lisa I know it's Damien. You are falling in love."

I stared at her. Why would she think that? I just met him. Besides Frieda called him a demon. What if she's wrong?he doesn't look like one and doesn't act like one he is..

"Did you hear a thing I just said?" Ann asked staring at me stupidly.

"Uh?"

"You were daydreaming about him don't lie!" She said with a twinkle in her eyes.

I rolled my eyes." Why are you even cooking now,don't you have class?" I asked.

"Yeah,I do. Just uhm,gonna skip today."she said adding the cilantro into the pan.

I was surprised. Ann never ditched class. "Why? Are you alright?"

She nodded." I'm fine. Just tired."

"Okay. Would love to ditch class and stay with you but I'll have to meet Damien in school today."

She started laughing at me." I knew it! You're in love with him."

"No-no,stop it Ann. He said 'see you at school tomorrow' I gotta go."

She folded her arms." When did he say that?"

"Yesterday night when you left I strolled out and met him."

She was thrilled." Oh my God what did you guys talk about."

I smiled walking out of the kitchen." Go away you gossip."

"Come on!"

She yelled at my retreating back. I smiled to myself and ignored her. All I could think of was meeting Damien.

Damien's POV

Elaine's hands sneaked into my waist as I got ready for school. I groaned inwardly. Just thinking of school upsets me. Then her beautiful eyes and innocent smile came into my head and I couldn't wait to see her again.

"Will you miss me?"Elaine asked.

I did my buttons and nodded. Her lips found its way to my neck and tugged on it.

"Not now Elaine. I'm late."

"You are never interested in leaving for school early why today?" She asked her lips not leaving my neck.

A smile tugged at the corner of my lips." I'm thinking school could become interesting you know."

"Hmm,"she paused her lips." I have reasons to believe you must have noticed someone already. A woman." She raised her head waiting for my reaction.

I smiled and turned to her. My hands on her shoulder.

"Believe what you want Elaine you might be correct."

"I hate it when you talk like that and you know that. You make me feel stupid for having insecurities."

"Stop torturing yourself with things like that. I asked you to join me in studies but you refused. You said you don't wanna study anymore so don't start with all these." I gave her a quick peck on her head." See you when I get back." I said and left the room.

Elaine is my beautiful girlfriend who is just like me and her jealousy was out of this world. No doubt I love her but... Well,there is Lisa coming to shake up my world. I'm so fascinated by everything about her and all I know is I want her.

Lisa's POV

I had hoped as soon as I got to school he would be the first person I see but I was wrong.

Two classes passed by and I didn't get a glimpse of him.

Attending these classes wasn't any joy for me. I wished I had ditched school today and be at home with Ann.

I sat on the lawn waiting for my next class when Azazel showed up. I've forgotten all about him and haven't even asked about him. I'm a terrible friend.

"Hey Lisa."

I smiled."Hi,where have you been?"

He sat beside me."it's not like you care. Well I've been well."

"I'm sorry. I've been so caught up with school work but I did ask of you from Ann." I added a teensy bitsy lie.

He scoffed." It's okay. Was on my way to lunch when I saw you here. I wanted to say hi."

"Thank you."

"Care to join me for lunch?"

"No I'm fine here."

"Okay. Nice seeing you again Lisa. I'll come around." He smiled

I smiled back." Alright then."

He left. I smiled at his back. He was nice enough. I turned to pick a book beside me when I saw him standing in front of me dressed in black.

"Did I chase him away?" He asked with a smile on his face.

I smiled back." Hey you."

He placed his hands in his pocket." That doesn't answer my question." The smile never leaving his face.

"He's just a friend Damien." I said standing on my feet.

"I hope so Lisa."

"Hmm, you're sounding protective." I said hitting him lightly on his arm. He chuckled and my cheeks went pink.

"Maybe I am."

He held my hand and we walked back into the hallway. My heart pounded against my chest. I was sure I was short of breath. His fingers enclosed mine.

Everyone looked at us. The senior girls shot dagger eyes at me. Oh yes,I was stealing their hunk.

"Do you have class?" I asked him when I was sure I could find my voice.

"Yeah.. you?"

"In fifteen minutes."

He nodded." We'll make do well of those minutes."

I wondered why he said that. What was going on in his head.

He looked at me and smiled. "Don't be scared I won't bite." He led me to an empty class.

"Do you bite?"

He looked away and his hand left mine. I've got him upset me and my stupid mouth.
