In a burst of light, Rias and her peerage vanished from the ORC room and appeared in the parallel dimension, or artificially created dimension copying everything exactly the same as the Kuoh Academy.
Rias and her peerage silently stood at their main base before the voice of Grayfia resounded in the air.
"Greetings everyone. I'm Grayfia Lucifuge, Queen of Sirzechs Lucifer. I'll be acting as a non-biased judge in the Rating Game between Lord Riser Phenex and Miss Rias Gremory to determine the marriage contract between the two parties…"
Everyone silently listened as Grayfia explained the rules and terms that are not to be breached during the game like not using outside help or external items provided by others.
After some time, with her stoic tone, she finished her explanation. "Both parties have half an hour's worth of time to strategize their tactics, after half an hour is completed, the Rating Game will officially start."
"What should we do, Buchou?" After Grayfia's explanation finished, Akeno stared at Rias and inquired. She was their King, during a Rating Game, they would never neglect her order nor go against it unless an unexpected situation arose.
Though Akeno was better at creating strategies than Rias, who mostly acted based on her emotions, she still believed in Rias more than anyone else. Since even though Rias mostly acted based on emotions, she still wasn't a rash person. When a situation arises where one needs a brain to think, Rias would always come up with a solution.
"What do you think Riser will do?" Rias inquired with a smile.
Akeno remained quiet for a while before explaining. "Despite him acting like a child, Lord Riser is not an idiot. Or else he wouldn't have an undefeated record in Rating Games till now. That's why, even though he is arrogant and certain about his victory, he will still treat it as an opponent and will not act rashly. If my guess is not wrong, then he would definitely send his Peerage to different locations leading to their base, trying to dwindle down our members before taking action against you directly."
"So you are saying he will not act unless he is fully certain of his victory, right?" Rias questioned, to which Akeno nodded her head, staring at her King wondering what she was thinking.
"Then tell me, if you and I fought with Riser's Peerage, who would win? That is not counting Riser and his Queen."
"Rias you…" Akeno's eyes widened, understanding what Rias was trying to say.
"That's right. We will go all in, there is no need to make any strategy or anything." Rias said with squinted eyes while staring at the map of Kuoh Academy placed in front of her. "We have number disadvantage. In this case, if we are divided, the chances of us losing increase exponentially. If Riser, as you say, played this game cautiously, we can catch them off-guard and eliminate his Peerage before he takes action."
In essence, they were not wrong. Riser's Peerage indeed had number disadvantage, but they still played the game cautiously, but that was not because Riser was a cautious person, but because his sister was. She was the one who always acted as a tactical leader of his team, and despite having a huge advantage, will not make low of the enemy.
Never underestimate your enemy, it was a good general quantity but also a fatal weakness when dealing with the unknown like Rias Peerage. Unlike Rias who has watched most of Riser's Rating Game and knew most of their habits, Riser or Ravel had no idea how Rias played the game.
After all, how can they know if Rias Peerage never really participated in any game before? But one must also credit Raval for hiding behind Riser for so long, making it look like it was Riser who had a cautious attitude during the Rating Game and not because it was she who made it so.
While Rias and Raval were deciding over how to deal with each other, Noah was in a REALLY bad mood right now, and it was definitely not because he realized he sucked at studying once more, but because of the black-haired youth sitting beside him wryly smiling—Tobio Himejima!
Tobio held a small friendly smile over his face as he sat beside Noah, staring at the Rating Game screen in front of him.
At the side, while Sona was cautiously looking at him, Tsubaki brewed tea and placed it in front of him. As the Queen of Sona, even though she was also cautious of Tobio, she still served him and treated him as a guest.
"Thank you." Tobio nodded and took a sip, his eyes widened—it was delicious! Might be the best tea he has drunk so far.
"Tsubaki, why are you giving him tea? He is not our guest." Noah said with displeasing, staring at Tsukubai, making her blush slightly. Seeing her blushing face, Noah was rendered speechless. He wondered if she also has some… weird fetishes, seeing her getting all blushy and stuff even though he scolded her… kinda.
"What are you doing here?" At the side, Sona inquired. "This is devil's territory, are you not afraid of causing trouble between devils and fallen?"
"Well, I'm not here to cause any trouble. I just find Noah-kun interesting, so I decided to become his friend." He wryly smiled and answered.
Sona and Tsubaki cast weird glances at both Noah and Tobio before Noah looked at him with a horror-filled gaze.
"Fuck off will ya? Not here to cause trouble? Ah yes, I also have a pet dinosaur. Also, stop talking in a way that others might misinterpret it."
"Hahaha! See, isn't he an interesting one." Tobio laughed, making Noah's face scrunched further. He really can't deal with people like Tobio, he reminds him so much of his cousin Arthur that he wants to punch him.
"On a serious note, I was wondering if Noah-kun is interested in joining Slash Dog?" He stared into Noah's eyes and inquired. He knew Azazel wanted to create a cordial relationship with Noah, so there was no need to make enmity with him. But he seriously found Noah's potential to his liking and wondered if he was willing to join his team.
"Why? Want me to become another Fallen Dog?" Noah sneered. He wasn't stupid and knew the inner meanings of what Tobio was trying to say, but he wasn't willing to be under anyone. The only person he was willing to work for was Mikoto, other than that, he wouldn't even bother.
For someone like him who had an ego as massive as the universe, working under was the same as throwing dog poop on his face. He would rather die. After all, even though he was part of the Red Clan, one might notice that even in the Red Clan, no one had ever ordered him to do anything.
Since they all were aware of his personality. Knowing full well that the sole reason he was part of the Red Clan was Mikoto and Anna, or he might not even join it.
Tobio shrugged his shoulders. "I want you to join Slash Dog and not Grigori. And even if you join my team, I can guarantee you that no one will ever order you to do anything. You will have your full free will to do whatever you want, but can also enjoy all the rights that Slash Dog has under Grigori."
In short, he was giving Noah a free deal. He was asking him to join Slash Dog for free with no restriction but he can still enjoy all the benefits Slash Dog receives in Grigori. Wasn't it a free pie thrown in front of his face? But will Noah agree to it? Of course not!
He knew people like Tobio more than anyone. These were people who might look amiable and easy to approach but vicious when the time required them to be. Especially Tobio, who was a full supporter of the saving people camp. In short, a hero.
For someone like Noah who was sadistic in nature, also someone who bore YGGDRASIL's Will, he was bound to end up evil. There was almost zero chance for them to cooperate under normal conditions.
Till now, Noah had still fully hidden his sadistic evil nature, but what will happen once Tobio finds it out? Would he still smile like a neighbor's big brother? Noah doubted.
Also, 'He wants to keep a check on me. I knew this would happen once I reached seventeen but it's still annoying.'
"You do know it, right?" Tobio stared at Sona and Tsubaki with a meaningful smile. "Due to your friendship with Satan's sisters, many people MAY definitely get a wrong idea about where your loyalty lies. There are also many devils who are itching to use you. If you don't want to join any factions, isn't it better to form relationships with other factions same like devils? That way, at least, everyone does not think that you are on the devil's side."
"I think you got the wrong idea, Tobio." Noah said before an apple appeared in his hand as he stared towards Tobio, who raised a brow in question, before a smirk formed over his face. "Do I look like someone who gives a FUCK what other thinks? In fact, a quantum super-computer calculating for thousands of years could not even approach the number of fucks I do not give about others. It is just a waste of time, both yours and mine."
Tobio frowned slightly. "Are you trying to make an enemy out of everyone?"
"I couldn't ask for a more coherent reply, thank you." Noah rolled his eyes before staring back at the screen. "Anyway, I do what I want to do, and I don't care what others want me to do. I'm a self-centered arrogant egoistic bitch. I would rather die than submit."
"You seem quite confident that you can fight the whole world all alone…" Tobio stared at Noah and said, feeling it was impossible for him to join Slash Dog. Not like he had much hope to begin with. He just wanted to know Noah's stance.
"Oh, you don't know how confident I am." He turned his gaze towards Tobio before asking. "Or do you want me to kindly remind you what happened a decade ago? That power, believe me, I can still use it."
"..." Tobio became silent, remembering the image of a white-haired kid flying in the air as he killed hundreds of devils but only uttering a single word. Whether it was magic or not, it still sends chills down his spine.
"If that is your decision, I won't bother anymore." In the end, he sighed before relaxing on the couch and said. "But let's be friends then. When I said I'm interested in you, I wasn't joking."
"Will you shut the fuck up with those ambiguous statements?"
"Hahaha…"
At the side, Sona and Tsubaki, though their eyes were glued on the screen, still had their attention over Tobio and Noah. They were quite intrigued to know what Noah meant by the power of a decade ago, but knowing that asking about it would be a useless endeavor, they kept quiet and listened.
At this moment, Rias Peerage and Riser's Peerage have already started moving. As Akeno had guessed, Riser still divided his Peerage into different teams and sent them to different points during the 30-minute strategizing.
All of them were waiting at their position and were quite far from where Riser was located. If they have to go back, it will still take them some time to do so.
In such a scenario, Rias moved with her whole Peerage running straight towards enemy headquarters. They didn't need any strategy or tactic. After all, with Reversal, as long as they can damage Riser, their winning rate would increase by quite a lot.
After that, they only needed to wait till Riser gave up due to excessive pain. It would become a fight of who can last longer rather than who can eliminate the other team first. Well, at least, for Rias's Peerage.
Just as they had thought, when they had reached Riser's headquarters, only Riser, Ravel, and his Queen were present. Raval was non-combatant and still a noob in fighting. While Akeno and Kiba went for the Queen, Rias went for Riser while Koneko for Raval.
Akeno had a slightly hard time with Riser's Queen, but since she has been training for three years unlike the original, she was able to win. Why? Because the moment Yubelluna used Phenex Tears, Akeno used Reversal. Well, everything is self-explanatory from thereon.
Instead of healing her, the tears changed into damage instead. And Yubelluna was eliminated just like that.
While on Rias's side, she was stronger than Riser in raw power to begin with, and with Riser's massive ego, he happily took a hit from Power of Destruction from her. With Reversal used by Koneko, since it was the incomplete one and they didn't want Rias to get damaged, Riser's regeneration turned into damage instead.
Unless he stopped regenerating himself, which in return left him with a mortal wound, or he was able to hold until his peerage defeated Rias's peerage, it was going to be his defeat.
But due to the intense pain, Riser was already out of the game. And with Rias and Akeno, it didn't take long before Riser's Peerage was eliminated the moment they returned. The end result? Rias won!
Noah smirked. It was all within his expectations so he wasn't surprised in the least. Reversal was one massive cheat and he was fully certain that it was enough to take care of Riser and his Peerage. The only problem with this whole game was that Akeno and Koneko lost some of their lifespans.
But with the devil's massive lifespan, it would not even leave a dent except being slightly weak for some time.
And the moment Grayfia announced the result with a slightly surprised voice, a notification popped in front of Noah.

AN: Many ppl don't seem to get what Reversal really is, so here is a short explanation.
It's an ability that reverses the effect of ABILITY and ITEM, it doesn't reverse EVERYTHING. So the comments asking [what-if] he reversed Demonic Energy in the underworld or if he can reverse Infinity of Ophis or, like, reverse the "lose of lifespan" during its usage, all of this will NOT work. This ability, again, is only effective on an ACTIVE ABILITY/SKILL OR AN ITEM!
Hope this clears most of everything about Reversal. Thank you!
