"WISHKY!!"
A crowd of people blocked Joe's steps. Between the shoulders that Joe pushed, the man was still looking around for his little dog who had disappeared half a day ago.
In one complex where he lived he had been looking for. He was also exploring the streets, but even Wishky's nose or barking and Joe met him.
His legs began to cramp, Joe's breath also began to run out of breath. Reporting a missing dog to the police is a waste of time. The police will not be dexterous enough just to look for one dog. So Joe decided to look for it himself. With his footsteps now starting to slow down, Joe continued to search until he entered the strange alleys around here.
"Wishky! are you here?!"
"Good boy! Come out if you hear my voice!!!"
The man was getting annoyed. He scratched the back of his head that didn't itch. The first option for this problem is to report to the police. Or give up Wishky altogether.
The last option was enough to make Joe's heart throb. Wishky is the first dog to come since five years ago. Joe found it in a sinkhole by the side of the road. Middle of neighing, crying over his dead brother right next to the dog.
That's when Joe felt that Wishky and Joe's situation was the same. Both are missing someone. Wishky's arrival was like a missing piece. Complete and warm.
"WISHKY!! WHERE ARE YOU??!!"
"IF YOU DISAPPOINTED THAT SO WHO WILL EAT MY SOCKS?!!"
"I ALSO BUYED A BIG PACK OF BACON!! WOULD YOU WAIT THAT?!"
"GUK!!"
Joe gasped. Stopped right in the middle of the road while looking around. Just now the barking sounded like Wishky's voice.
Running a little, Joe tried to find the source of the sound. A few moments passed, many foreign eyes looked at Joe strange. The man in shorts who was running while calling his dog's name now stopped in front of the hedge. He smiled widely when he found his little brown dog licking someone's finger.
"Wishky!"
Just a few steps closer, Joe is now back statue. His footsteps stopped staring at Wishky and someone in a green t-shirt and a hat that covered almost half of his face.
"You're this small but go too far. Are you stupid?"
"GUK!" /shake/
"I have this, want?" said the man, pulling a piece of marsmelow out of his pocket.
Wishky wasn't interested at all. The dog just sniffed the man's hand with a wagging tail.
"Hey! When you grow up, don't mate with other dogs. Then they'll go crazy. I'm right, right?"
Joe was getting curious. He tried to approach someone who was talking to his dog. The voice sounded familiar. Whisper and quiet. Like Jay's voice.
"Jeya?"
The owner of the name finally looked up. And as usual, a flat expression on her innocent face that greeted Joe. Even so, under the sun that started to dim, Jeya's face looks very beautiful and mysterious
"Jeya?"
"Is that your dog?"
"Oh? Yes, this is my dog. I looked for it everywhere but it turned out that Wishky had gone too far."
"Wishky?"
Joe nodded.
"Not red at all." Joe could hear the girl's muttering clearly. Even though it's a bit sarcastic, Joe admits that Jeya's words are true. Wishky wasn't red at all.
"Does Jeya live around here?"
"Yes. I t_"
"OH! RAIN! GET HERE QUICKLY!"
It suddenly rained heavily. Even though five minutes ago the sky was still hot. The weather that is not easy to predict lately makes Joe panic himself and pulls Jeya impulsively to take shelter on the outskirts of the bakery that looks like it has been closed for a long time.
Wishky was seen shaking his whole body. Splashing water everywhere to keep the fur moist and warm. While Joe, the shirt he was wearing also had the same fate. The rain fell with a large volume at the same time making the three of them not have enough squares to dodge.
"Wow, it's hard to believe. Even though five minutes ago it was still very hot." Joe said before switching from looking up at the sky to looking at the girl next to him.
Jeya just nodded slightly. Doing strange things by rubbing her right hand roughly with a blank stare. Joe just watched without asking anything. And maybe Jeya also realized it.
"I hate being touched by men. I also hate rain."i
The girl's face was livid. One by one, the raindrops fell. Like there are so many wounds that come down with the rain that comes. Jeya, an innocent girl who is too serious. There had been so many riddles in the girl since Joe had known her.
Actually what had happened to Jeya that her heart rotted so badly?
"Why do you hate rain? Can't it hide the sound of your crying when you're sad?"
Honestly, it looks like Joe just wants to die.
His words just now brought disaster. The girl next to she glared at him. With a spooky look, even Joe's tongue went numb to just look for another conversation. Stupid Joe Ecart!
"Yeah you're right. The rain hid my voice so it wasn't audible at all. Not at all."
DIE YOU JOE ECARTH!!
What bastard man made another woman's face cloudier than the sky right now. The scarred eyes lit up. Jeya Like the reflection of a mirror without a shadow, everything is difficult to understand.
No matter how hard Joe tried to dive into the thick sea of gray eyes, he still couldn't.
Dozens of minutes passed in silence, leaving only the rumbling sound of the rain still faithful and Wishky seeking warmth between Joe's feet.
During Joe's birth until now, there have been many people with problems and despair that he has met. However, Jeya is completely different. She is the most mysterious and hopeless girl in his life.
She is like a body that refuses to live but is demanded by something that Joe does not know to continue living in this evil world.
Joe was eager to find out more. I really want to open and examine any wounds that Jeya has gotten.
"Don't look at me like I'm a pig on a ribbon."
Joe's irises met Jeya's beautiful gray eyes. The girl's lips were pale from the cold. Too bad, Joe was also cold and only wearing a short sleeve shirt. If forced to open his clothes then Joe will end up as a corpse.
"Where is there a pig that is as beautiful as you?"
"Your mouth is so rotten."
Joe was horrified. In this world, in such a vast world, where is there praise in return for such piercing words?
/does my mouth stink?/
Joe became restless and self-conscious. He tried to blow the steam in his mouth in the palm of his hand. Kiss him to answer his question. But Joe's mouth didn't stink. He had just showered before looking for Wishky.
"Hihihi.. you idiot!"
"Don't make fun of me like that."
"Are you sulking right now?"
"No!" Joe answered firmly.
"Then why are your lips pouting?"
Joe just didn't want to respond. The single man cupped his face between his hands and knees. Enjoy the eyes that see in all directions.
Joe's eyes stopped for a moment. He took a pen from his trouser pocket. Then he took her hand gently.
"What are you doing? Didn't I tell you I don't like being held by men!"
The man stared blankly at his hand that was on Jeya's side. Smiling slightly, Joe replied casually.
"But I'm a different man. I'm your friend."
Then he grabbed Jeya's small hand again carefully, now without a fight. Joe started to scribble something on Jeya's arm, right next to the scratches on some of the wounds that had arisen and were almost healed. Some are just used.
Joe's heart was torn to see her. Jeya's body, which should be smooth, turns out to have scars due to the despair that he poured into her arms. Joe didn't know whether to ask further or he just knew and kept quiet. Together with Jeya, Joe becomes a figure standing on the glass floor.
Gotta calm down before it all crumbles.
"What's this?"
Joe's gentle gaze was devoted so that it could be conveyed to the girl.
"Next time just use this. Don't hurt yourself more than this. Got it?" Joe put the pen he was using in Jeya's cold hands. There are various kinds of flashes of emotion in Jeya's eyes. Even so, Joe still didn't understand.
"Whether I hurt myself or not, it's none of the business of friends who have only known each other for a few months." She snapped.
"This will be my business. Because you are the first friend I talk to and I will go after first. And so on, we will not only be trapped in a hole called 'friend'".
Jeya looked confused. Before she had time to find a satisfactory answer, Joe stood up and followed Wishky out of the old bakery in the middle of a wet street full of potholes.
"I have to be back before evening. Remember what I said, Take good care of yourself. See you later."
He stepped among the small drizzles that were still falling one by one. Leaving a question that stuck in Jeya's heart and writing on his arm.
'I don't hate myself.'
